Ok Google, a picture says a thousand words. This was my second time in this restaurant. The first time was not very good food.. Today I gave it another chance. Being from out of town, and hungry, this is how my chicken dinner turned out.. Red bone chicken and rubbery.. Mind you, I didn't complain, I just know how something is not respected, in that kitchen. Any self-respecting southerner know better than to consistently serve rubber/bloody chicken.. And I waited more than 35 minutes for my order to be served

We wanted to make sure to eat as local as possible while in Tampa. This establishment hit every mark—even better it is both woman and Black-owned—and the food was good as well. The prices are a bit high but for the overall quality of the menu, the cost was understandable, so we didn’t mind paying the price. Just be sure to keep this in mind if you’re a large group. The seafood is a bit higher than most of the other entrees and there is little in the way of seating—a couple booths—as this is mainly a takeout spot. Overall, we enjoyed our visit to this location and would return.

Had the best experience!! The food was absolutely amazing!!! There aren’t words to describe the fabulous flavor….I was left speechless! 🤯 It was still takeout thanks to Covid but we ate on the picnic tables outside. Best experience….thank you 😊

The cajun butter shrimp & potatoes was really good! The collard greens were seasoned great. They didn't have meat in them. I liked the basa fish, but one piece over bread was $8 no sides. The strawberry lemonade was so good I had to go back for another cup. Customer service was lack luster but the food was good! I tried this black family owned soulfood/seafood spot off MLK in Tampa Florida yes It was #smacktastic. The strawberry lemonade was so bomb that I got 2 cups & one to go! It taste better than chessecake factory strawberry lemonade! Just not $5 a glass 🤭 Mini shrimp boil Collard greens Basa fried fish 🐟 (light &crispy & overpriced) Con's was the lack luster customer service.
