I will admit it is a bit jarring being approached by a security officer and asked "What's your business here?" Only seconds after exiting our vehicle. However, they were helpful and we didn't have that long of a wait. We will have to come back a couple of times in the near future and hopefully our visits are just as quick.

I went there for getting my social security member, and I received the card after one week. I am so surprised that the effective speed. Good job and nice service

They need to update there website to BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Then make it easier to make an appointment. Add it online so we don't have to sit on the phone for hours...Im going on 2.3 hours of hold time :(

I would actually rate them a ZERO! They can't be bothered to answer the phone after 7 calls in a 3-hour period. Instead I am told to call back another time and disconnected. What an absolute travesty that these employees who are supposed to serve the public - simply ignore them.

I Recieve disabled wodows benefits, which just about doubled what I was receiving for so disability. I became eligible at age 50 due to being disabled, I think that when you do draw your social security you can choose the larger of the two, yours or hers. Not both. I hope this helps.
Go into the local office, pick up a form that's by the front door, fill it out and mail it in or take a number and wait in line and turn it in there. Could be waiting for over an hour though. Depends on how many people are ahead of you.
You most likely dont need to report SSD. You only need to report it if it's over a certain amount. Social security provides a worksheet that gets mailed to you around tax season that helps you figure out if you need to or not. It usually depends on if your husband and son work while receiving SSD. I receive it myself but also work part time, keeping under social security's $1,200 a month gross wage limit and I dont have to report or pay any taxes on the disability I receive.
Social security doesn't track or care how you spend the money you receive. They only want to know how much money you get from other sources. So if you have a job and make more than they allow during a month, then they cut you off or reduce what they give you the next month after you report your income. So use whatever amount you need but make sure you plan ahead for other expenses. Getting a vehicle loan from your bank and making monthly payments is often easier than buying a car with cash. Especially if your only income is from social security.
Yes
Depends. You will get Medicare with ssi and some u do have to pay but they take it out of ur ssi or disability
If it is in black and white, it is also digitally accessible as well. Go to the website, yeah?
I believe you can. But again, you would have to go on and talk to them about it.
That is up to the people who work there. Not us
It depends on how much you have saved for your retirement or if you're still working. I'm 29 and receive disability while also working. My Bill's come out to about $1,200 a month and I have just enough to get by while having maybe $100 to $200 left over after other expenses such as food. I dont know if social security for retirement pays more than disability but if its about the same, then dont expect to be able to live exclusively off of it. It's best to go into your local office, ask questions and make a budget plan before deciding on what to do.
You can go to the state capital of the state you were born in and order thru the state and or county .they do have online access but if you want a certified copy you may have to go through snail mail.... it usually takes 2-6 weeks
I know they are allowing in-office visits. Wait times aren't that long, recently.
...continue / break to come back to a reconsideration and more info needed on your case packet with paperwork wanting my dead husband's salary for an unspecified amount of time. It does vary from state to state depending on cost of living. We recently made a change from WA to ID and had to go through this. There was a $200 change as a result of our move.
Well, ssa has nothing to do with your birth certificates. So you'll want to contact the business you sent the request to
