Came here in a lot of pain. The staff was great! Especially Conner M, who was extremely patient and compassionate. Emergency rooms really scare me and I was able to feel safe and at ease under his amazing care!

I am forever indebted to the doctors and nurses at St. Joseph’s North ER for saving my life. Saying thank you does not seem like enough, but I literally owe my life to their quick actions, intervention and skill. We are so blessed to have this hospital near our home. May God continue to bless each one of you for your dedication to saving lives.

I was born at Morton Plant and raised in Florida and I absolutely love Morton Plant, as I truly feel they’re the best hospital. They’re always my first choice, however, since I moved over to Wesley Chapel I had an emergency one night and didn’t want to drive 35+ miles to Morton Plant. I chose to go to St. Joseph’s - North instead just to be on the safe side as it was the closest BayCare ER to our house. Let me start by saying this place is a complete embarrassment to BayCare. First off, upon waiting, there was a family in the waiting room with “no masks” eating fast food, which I felt was extremely unprofessional from the actual front desk people not confronting this as we all know Covid is HUGE right now and they had no common courtesy for the other patients to step in and say something. It’s a simple “We have to keep masks on, please eat outside, in your car, or anywhere else besides the actual ER ROOM. Secondly, as I entered my room I want to strongly express that my nurse was barely present. She came in to greet me for 2 seconds, I asked for some anxiety medicine because I was having anxiety with what was going on and she said yes I will get the doctor it’s up to her. Although, the doctor never came in for the LONGEST time and upon waiting for the doctor I had to get an ultrasound. After being brought back to my room, my monitoring equipment was never plugged back in and it literally beeped for an hour straight with nobody checking on me. Isn’t this a priority? What if my heart was racing…. You didn’t come to see why the monitors were beeping for an hour straight? I have no idea how to use that equipment therefore it’s not my job to re-place it back on for myself. Absolutely ridiculous. Then, the PA finally came in and I notified her of how I felt it was unprofessional and she literally laughed in my face and laughed it off like it wasn’t a concern and goes “well it’s not beeping anymore is it”? Like what? You’re the doctor and that’s how you talk to the patients is make them feel stupid? I have never in my life seen such horrible customer service from so many healthcare professionals at once, that I will seriously NEVER in my life go back to this hospital again. And on top of it - look at the many negative customer reviews on the ER. Address it!

My whole experience was much faster than I expected for an ER. I was seen right away. As soon as I was in a room, tests were quickly done. The wait time for results was surprisingly quick as well. Not only was my experience fast, it was quality. Dr. Locke was incredibly kind and respectful, as well as the other staff. I’m definitely happy that I chose to visit this ER when is distress.
