One of our favorite hikes in the area. Do at least every couple of months. View never gets old. Couples hours round trip. Highly recommend.

Three mile trail around signal to an amazing view! The trail goes on for miles in case you wanted more.

Started from signal point and hiked down and across. Even if you start the trail from elsewhere it’s a moderate hike with some rocky terrain. Plenty of water to cross and an amazing view of the Tennessee river. Picture looks across to view edward’s point

Beautiful views of the Tennessee River from the overlook and along the hike. The trail was not well marked in a couple of areas but anyone hiking this trail at those points most likely is an experienced hiker. It was fun with lots of large rocks and ups and down in the path. A little under 6 miles in and back.

If you park at the Rainbow Lake trailhead parking lot it's just over 4 miles round trip to Edwards point. You will hike down to Rainbow Lake (.6 miles) and cross the swinging bridge to hit the Cumberland trail in thus Edwards point.
