If you have extra time and enjoy nostalgia this is a nice visit since it's not literally only minutes from Helen, however I wouldn't go far out of my way. The most interesting items are in the front of the store - old general store antiques abound in this area. I kinda wish they'd give more space to some of this stuff vs the store area b/c there are so many interesting items but they are all crammed together and not well light so it was hard to see them. The store itself was just ok - we got a couple old time soda pops but nothing else you can't find elsewhere. It was fun to sit on the front porch and drink the pop with the kids. Be sure to check out the sleeping wampus in the box on the porch for an extra thrill.

A great place to stop for lunch - a pleasant combination of country store, museum, and cafe. The staff in the store and cafe were friendly and helpful and the Turkey Panini I had was delicious.

Very cute country store and found some of the local fare was priced just right like the salad dressings, BBQ sauces, jams, etc. Also had some old time nostalgia items too!! Remember striped fruit gum with the zebra?

This place is literally stepping back in time. It's a must see place to stop at. The first part of the store is literally everything that was in the store decades ago. The back has a little shop and grab some yummy stuff. I absolutely loved the old time feel and SO much to look at. We will definitely make this a regular stop during our visits just to see what's new!!
