Of all the DMVs I've ever been, being from CA and all, this is by far the best. I came on a Tues, around 2pm, to follow-up on my vehicle registration renewal. It only took me 30 mins total. Just bring all documents required and you'll be out of there in no time. Nice people to boot, they seem very happy with their job. Excellent management.

With a reservation, I was in & out in less than 1/2 hour. The lady that helped me was very polite and walked me through the whole process.
Just Your Average Guy
They were very helpful and fast. Denise(D) was very helpful and got everything I needed handled in one visit. Best experience at a DMV office.

Staff are super helpful. Kiosk doesn't always work, but give it a minute. For a Friday, everything moved very smooth. In and out in 30 minutes. Do your application online as much as you can. Make sure to have your 8 digit code when you come in, especially if you couldn't make an appointment. 10/10 service.

Open again! Edited 10/6/18: Since it's reopening the CA DMV has introduced a new (& improved?) system into every DMV office. It's got bigger and easier to read fonts on the info-screens; it's got paid sponsorship (ie ads) and, most annoyingly, it's now got outrageous wait-times. Appointments, you say? The next available when I called was Stardate 3643.4*. I was better off just waiting it out. If you do decide to venture inside, IMHO wait until an hour before closing. They'll lock the doors with you inside, but everyone inside WILL be serviced... Possibly quicker than you'd expect ;) [* Just being sarcastic]
I'm not quite sure if they changed this now, but generally, no, you don't need an appointment.
Checking when renewal tags will be her my Tags will be here my lience plate.is314Ldp
Yes u can

Yes, Open daily Monday thru sat 8-5
How much is acopy of my driver lic
Do a Google Search for DMV in Fairfield, CA.
Go back in again and explain what happened ~ in great detail.
I don't work for DMV. I was in and out so quickly yesterday it won't take you long to have them explain it to you clearly and get you the right paperwork.
I hear there is a back log of information that's supposed to be sent back in the mail
I dont work at the DMV, but, i was late paying my registration, and i believe they did waive some of my fees because of covid
I'm not really sure however they seemed to be streamlined now at dmv.... at the very least if you go down there and explain the situation they may see you they may also schedule an appointment for a later date... then your in and out . I hope this helps
Usually yes, if they are at capacity however they will let you know . Last time I went, there was a line and about 30 minutes of waiting just to get a number. I do recommend filling out any paperwork online before you go, it makes it much faster
Go to the office or call them
Yes
Actually its pretty good its either u have a bad attitude or something wrong
No, you have to make an appointment. However, they do have a drop box system where you can drop off payment with a check or money 3
You have to go I person and ask about it. They are open now
I would say yes you will because you have to show proof of residence in California!
It only matters what your age is when you order it. So if you are not 21 yet it will say you are under 21 still. You would need to wait until you are 21. But regardless it will still show your birthday so you can still use it once you are 21. The "Under the age of 21" is to make it easier for cashiers to see they may be underage. Just make sure to tell them to look at your birthday when they card you.
When I needed new plates after mine were stolen I paid about $25. And they accept debit cards but no credit cards
Open every day with appointment or without
I have had my license plate stolen before. I had to file a police report, then order a new license plate. I wanted a personalized plate so I was not too upset, but I do believe if you just want a regular plate you still have to pay. a special plate cost $ 50 so I would guess a normal plate would be slightly less than that. You can set up an appointment online to go into the DMV and order a new plate. My badge has been stolen before. I had to submit a police report and then ask for a new badge. I wanted a custom dish, so I wasn't too upset, but I think if you just want a normal dish, you still have to pay. A special dish costs $ 50, so I guess a normal dish would be a little less than that. You can schedule an appointment online to enter the DMV and request a new license plate.
I don't Sorry!!!
The only way you can get it. You have to go to the DMV and apply for it again.
School identification card Birth certificate Passport Cost is $30
Only dmv knows
No behind the wheel test on Saturday in fair field office
If you are a minor under18 you need a certificate of completion of drivers training proof of insurance and registration for the car u drive and your mom or dad or someone with a DL oh and your permit. If 18 a permit. & car and someone with DL
It should be from 8 to 2
You could ask an employee to assist you but expect a possible longer visit depending on how busy it is.
Does not have to be the vehicle owner. You wll need a licensed driver. You are required to have a vehicle with current registration, safety inspected, (passed smog etc) and proof of auto insurance
I'm not sure if they did or not
Nope, for driving test ,appointment is needed.
If a smog certification is required, you can pay for your renewal at the kiosk to avoid late penalties. Then after your smog information has been received by the DMV, your registration and sticker will be mailed to you automatically. If your smog info has already been received by the DMV, your sticker will print immediately.
Yes, the kiosk can be in Spanish or English!
You may actually be able to. There are certain stipulations to whom can or can't change their address online, or via mail. Head over to the DMV website Online Services area. Their COA (Change of Address) System may be of use for you, there you can start the process to see if you're "Eligible".
Yes, at this time the kiosks work for renewing your vehicle registration or filing for planned non opertion (PNO) status.
If it's expired, you likely will have to stay the process over.
