We came here due to our friends recommendation. But I was disappointed by the several facts. 1)We had our table outside and waited for a waitress to come to our table and take an order like for half an hour. The same we have been waiting for our bill. And the whole service was kind of reluctant and tense. 2.We ordered several vegan dishes and they were tasteless and absolutely mediocre. No interesting in flavor and tasty sauces in dishes as well as no memorable savors. 3.But at the same time the prices are really high. 4. Dishes were served in hastily and as if in hurry, the dish in a plate did not look beautiful and appetizing. 5. Be ready to eat with your hands by using injeras (national Ethiopian “pancakes”) I rate this cafe as 3 stars just due to the comfortable location and beautiful neighborhood.

What a cool experience! Highly recommended going with a group so everyone can get a meal each to share, and to try as many things as possible. The staff is super kind and helpful. And the food was bomb! We also got the honey wine which was super tasty.

Das Ethiopian is by far my fav Ethiopian in DC! As a vegan, there are plenty of great options. I’ve been at least 3 times now and it has never disappointed! Would highly recommend.

Very intimate place. Food was really tasty and enjoyable. Staff was extremely courteous, catering, and efficient..My friend said that I picked a fine dining establishment. LOL. I said it made me feel very comfortable and welcomed. Service was just that good. 👌 If they had double or triple the space they would still be packed. For a romantic or intimate dining experience without the overbearing, busy, loud dining hall feel, go here. The dessert was just so delicious, you'll be tempted to get one to go also.
