My kids went to Wanakee for the first summer in 2021 for overnight camp. They had a great experience… they loved the counselors and the kids that they met. I found the staff to be so amazing and very communicative. They touched base during the week and let me know how the kids were doing. They were super responsive via email through the whole process and “drive through” drop off and pick up were a breeze!

My son is at camp there this summer, and its the same place I went to camp about 25 years ago. It's been around forever, hasn't changed and it's the way camp should be, free of cell phones and video games. It gives today's kids a glimpse of a simpler time and a simpler way of life.

I grew up coming to Wanakee - it's the perfect place to send your children during the summer! The staff is warm and welcoming, the grounds are beautiful, and safety is a top priority. I would go back as a camper if I could!
