Very nice beach and it’s right off the WOW scenic bike path. We stopped to admire the sunset and it would be a nice place minus the rift raft camped up company that we were glad we had bike locks. Definitely better than Roxbury, MA folks but I wouldn’t walk barefoot on the beach in fear of a needle exposure. We felt safe with police present 😅

Would give 5 stars if city parks and rec would have mowed the lawn and opened the bathrooms for Memorial holiday weekend.

We had a tashlit service there ( casting our sins away into the lake) on the Jewish New year. It was very beautiful. Clean . Nice mountain views ( didnt go in though) . Oh and " No Hookahs". Lol.

Beach is rather tucked away and there weren't a lot of people they which was nice. Unfortunately the beach had a fair amount of trash, including a capped hypodermic needle near the water line. I don't know how often the park is cleaned but it definitely needs one.

The sand is groomed within the ropes, but there's nothing stopping you from swimming outside of them as long as you don't mind the muck. Of course there's a bunch of speed boats buzzing around the lake, so don't go too far out, unless you don't mind getting run over by a boat.
And.
Yes, just please don't leave it a mess! And if bringing a dog, pick up after it!
