Sunrise saved my aunt’s life by having daily structure or routines. She has been there almost a year after Trasfered her there from a nursing home who put her on hospice while recovering from a broken hip.

I have been visiting a resident here for a while during COVID. They check you in and out, you have you give your information to a computer, take your temperature and sanitize your hands. Everyone wears masks except when eating in common areas. The last visit here they asked for vaccine card (I thought they were stepping up even further...which is great.), I go to visit and am told by the person I am visiting that there is a COVID scare, and to leave to stay safe. What sort of a "Care" facility wouldn't say that BEFORE letting anyone enter the building!! This will be reported to the state, and this review will be going on ALL review sites as it is completely no acceptable.

The atmosphere at Sunrise is warm and inviting. Common areas are spacious and the apartments are pleasing. The grounds and especially the back garden are lovely. The staff is respectful but caring too, and always helpful. They have done as much as possible to deal with the limitations of covid. I am looking forward to more activities returning. The first time I walked into Sunrise I knew it was the place for my mom.

When everything returns to normal, the Sunrise of Arlington (SOA) is an absolutely terrific place to live, thanks to the wonderful staff and location. The Sunrise Nursing Staff is quite professional, and quickly responsive to calls from any patient emergency call button. I've lived at Sunrise for approx 3.5 years; the Covid Virus resulted in well-monitored, Life Safety guidelines; and the active approach is successful for SOA. The location allows it to feel healthy to simply look outside at the trees, to spot a bird type you may have never seen before, or a personal favorite. And to enjoy the movements of nature due to the blowing winds, and some surrounding hill areas. There are wonderful day to day writings provided, from a very creative Sunrise employee, who is also a master piano player and a great story teller. Such stories will also be presented when the Sunrise bus rides are allowed to go back into use. The Sunrise employees are also very nice, so many of them being parents, who feel-good being "away at work, just for a little while", as a "break from their kids!" : ) An unexpected perk is just how terrific the meals are, this is a wonderful part of living here. The general staff are very kind, and patient in speaking with those of us who have (very) poor hearing. Pierre is a very professional and kind Chef, and truly positive in saying "hello" to some of us old-timers, when time allows. Pierre offers the Professional sense of kindness to others, and such well prepared foods; true professional manners to remind us all of the good life. The surrounding yard areas are kept in excellent condition. Our views from from any side of the Sunrise building are beautiful throughout the year. The building is also kept in perfect operational condition, along with the required response to keep the customers happy. Which ruins are favorite hobby: Complaining! It's all good, a very nice place to live. But have you been watching the Red Sox? Is this for real??? : )

They sure are :) I hope you've met Jett already, the Sunrise small dog brought in by an officer around 15 yrs ago. Jett will do some small dog barking in a lively manner, requesting some friendly attention :)

Do they hire people to do volunteer work

Yes they do, however to protect the residents, a background check is required.
