Not a fan of this station. The Orange Line stations are very offset from each other along Washington Street, thus causing transfers at this station to be confusing or take a long time. Back when the Government Center station was under construction, this was a necessary hurdle for some paths. Now, I'd recommend using the other transfer stations for your cross-line MBTA needs.

Been travelling thru here since 2013, no problems whatsoever when I do.

Quite cool to have a station directly underneath the historic Old State House.

State Street station is an underground light rail "T" platform designed to serve the needs of commuters. There is a vendor kiosk on the Forest-Hills-bound orange line platform with drinks and snacks available. Trains arrive and depart approximately every 5-10 minutes most times of the day and night. Orange line and Blue line service is available to ambulatory riders and as of fall 2013 the Orange Line is fully accessible to wheelchairs. The Blue Line is wheelchair accessible outbound to Wonderland side only. Inbound/to Bowdoin riders must transfer to outbound train at Government Center Station, travel back to State and exit on outbound side. The stations' cleanliness is punctuated by a lack of litter but riders may notice a grime on the walls and seating
