If I could give them less than one star I would. Terrible customer service. Unfriendly people whether it’s delivery or someone on phone or in office. They had no concern for the fact that my baby and I (single mom) were in a million dollar home just us and I continued to smell propane in the home and they offered no solutions. They basically told me I was crazy because they were too cheap to replace a faulty rusted tank. They would come onto my property without my knowledge, they locked my tank once RIGHT AFTET I PAID THEM IN FULL! I got home from vacation and alone with a baby I had no hot water for an entire weekend. Not because I didn’t pay them, because they locked my tank without telling me they were doing so, immediately after I paid them in full on phone and mentioned to the lady the continued odor and unresolved issue of leaking gas in the home , she doesn’t tell me that she’s going to have them lock the tank?! And each time they did a leak test at the home, I was charged 250, so needless to say, I’m not talking the price of fuel, as that ran me over $4000 PER YEAR TO HEAT ONE 3 bedroom home, in ADDITION TO THE COST OF DELIVERY IF FUEL, I paid about 3,000 more to rymes, for emergency calls and leak tests, all without any answers or solutions made whatsoever!!!!! Ridiculous. They have the worst customer service I have ever seen. Are so rude and I am permanently forever disgusted with how rymes handled things all over the board. And I am still that mad, after not being a customer now for over two years I can still recall just how bad they are. I was going to file a lawsuit and complaint with the attorney general in New Hampshire, but life is stressful enough I decided not to be bitter and dwell and move on with my life like a bad break up. Oh yeah, and I remember now from others comments how the phone calls are, no answer in emergency, service calls cost double on weekends, and being hung up on for no apparent reason whatsoever, because they have an attitude problem, when you are nothing but reasonable and calm and patient with them. I have never in my life dealt with worse customer service or a worse company for anything!!!

I called them three weeks ago to scheduled delivery no show.. I called four times to find out why no one is delivering fuel to us? I was told they have a ticket out for me .. week 4 still no delivery my tank reads very low I'm not sure if will take me through the weekend.. Called again 2 days ago talk to I believe her name is "Chandra" she was so rude she told me if I ran out of oil I should go to the nearest gas station and fill 5 gallon of Kerosene and put it in the tank... I replied back to her, are you serious? I asked her to connect me with the supervisor. I left Seth a voice mail but I never heard back from him. Not to mention I been their customer over 30 years.

We have had both good and bad experiences with Rymes. I called Rymes about a month ago to set up an appointment for one of their techs to come out and give us a quote for adding a circuit to our boiler. Discovered that you can no longer call the local offices directly, that all calls go through the Concord office. Gave info to lady there, who said the Ossipee office would get back to us. They never did. On the other hand, when we called for annual boiler service their tech was on time, friendly and informative, did a great job servicing our boiler, and the bill came in less than we were quoted. EDIT 28 Oct. 2021 We continue to have mixed results using Rymes. Last winter our boiler conked out and their technician came out and diagnosed and repaired it very quickly and for a very reasonable price. This fall we called to get our boiler cleaned and checked, left a message and never heard back. So it seems to be hit-and-miss with Rymes, and my 3 star rating stands.

Questions & Answers

Every time I call 524-1421 I get a message which states that this number is no longer in service and I need a gas fill up. How do I contact you?

It's 1/2/18 and I'm on the phone with them calling the 524-1421 #. However, I did get that message earlier as well so it probably depends on when you call. I really don't know.

How is propane pro rated when a property is changing owners

The easiest way is to read the tank's gauge and include the cost of the fuel in your closing so the buyer pays the seller for the fuel in the tank. If you're uncertain of the tank size or cost of the fuel, drop us an e-mail or give us a call and we can help you with that. Alternately, we can send someone out to read the tank and credit one account and charge another, but that is generally much more complicated and there's a charge to send a technician to read the tank.
