Haute Dogs and Fries

This is a really cool spot. The inside is nicely decorated, with lots of dog pictures!! They have lots of options. You can get the hot dogs as beef, veggie, or chicken. I got the Buffalo (blue cheese crumbles, chopped celery, sriracha, and ranch) and House (onion relish, mustard, mayo, celery salt) I really enjoyed both, especially the House Dog!! This is a Black owned, gourmet hot dog spot! Very cool!

- food was good but not what I expected, the hotdogs were smaller than I thought they would be. They had good flavor and were made with fresh ingredients but still just ok. - staff were friendly other than one lady. she had no personality at all, when a customer said thank you after receiving his food , she just looked at him with a blank face and walked away. - place was clean for the most part, outside trash was overfilled and the wind / birds were making trash go all over the place. Me and another customer picked it up. - prices too high for what you get. For two hotdogs, two fries and two drinks it cost $47. - parking is hit or miss to find in the are. - overall not a bad place but overpriced for what you get for sure.

I got 2 beef hot dogs OBX style (chili, mustard, onions), 3 half smokes (chili, onions mustard), and some sweet potato fries. The beef hot dogs are ok, but the half smokes are great! Not better than #benschilibowl, but definitely an alternative. I like it because it's 2 miles from my job. The half smokes are cut in half and grilled on the inside; so much so that it adds a crunch to the half smoke. And the bread is also toasted on the inside and out. The sweet potato fries were also good! Just picture #chik-a-fila's waffle fries, but with sweet potatoes. They even had a dessert that was like a French toast hotdog bun with 3 scoops of ice cream, drizzled with chocolate and caramel sauce instead of a hotdog inside.

Who doesn't like a hot dog? Well, maybe a Vegan or vegetarian? I was pleasantly surprised to see you could pick your dog. And, the veggie ones, pretty up there with the topndogs!
