I have lived in Sunset Ridge for a year this December. The building I live in has been good. The neighbors are friendly, and pet owners clean up after their pets. The maintenance staff were always available, the grounds were kept nice including snow removal in the winter. The only negative I would have to comment on is that when I moved in, whomever lived in the apartment before me was a smoker and the apartment still smelled of it. There were cigarette burns in the counter and when the heat kicks on and in the bathroom, you can still smell it. There is also someone in the building smoking as you can smell it and see cigarette butts dropped in the hall. Leaving my window and slider open in the summer was not ideal as the smoke would blow in. My building was marked as non smoking, but some people still smoke regardless.

I just moved out of living in Ron's apartment after since 2013. In the beginning, everything was great until about 2015 when maintenance started being poor. The new realty office employee was much less gracious than the last. The washer and dryer (not in unit), refrigerator, dish washer are about 25 years old and the hot water doesn't even work on the washer. You'll be lucky of you get 20 minutes of hot water on the shower. Highly do not recommend any Red Oak apartment which is owned by Ron Dupont.

These accusations on the last review are not false. I lived at sunset ridge for 3 years. Why would anyone take the time to make a false accusation? I have personal images and anyone in this complex can reassure you they are true. The first year was alright, had ants and bugs in my apartment I think I called the office maybe once a week about this concern. That calmed down after getting sprayed multiple times, the issue here is for something to be “fixed” you have to have maintance out multiple times which is an inconvenience. The mice issue is 100% TRUE & DISGUSTING, to come home while trying to cook a meal and seeing mice feces all over your cooking utensils and food is not OK. They don’t have someone come out right away they only come out on specific days which is complete BS, I didn’t enjoy having to have traps all over my house. At one point they were coming in from the back of the stove, then also from one of the heaters in the bedroom etc. On my move out day a neighbor told me she had the mice issue as well so we weren’t the only ones. I told her we also found mold when moving out in one of the closets.( she mentioned that this was a known issue around ) The installation is absolutely awful, you will feel the air coming in from the sliding door and windows seeing as they are probably as old as the building. Not efficient at all. You pay a monthly pet fee to see dog sh*t all over the place, stepped on it multiple times, totally unsanitary. Oh and by the way you pay extra to live in a “none smoking building” yet it smells like someone lit a cigarette in the hall. This place needs to be taken to the city I don’t understand how anyone can live this way. I feel sorry for anyone that falls for this place. Look at yelp for the pictures.

Decent complex, well maintained and staffed. Front desk staff are pleasant to work with and very understanding. Apartment grounds are in good shape and improving. It looks like they have done a lot of work to try to improve the complex in recent months. I was lucky to get a newer unit, new appliances, paint, and floors. Inside is fairly quiet, but it all depends on neighbors. Do understand there is a lot more to think about other than rent. You have to pay for water and sewage, electricity, and heat. There is truly nothing included. Rent is a little high at $1160 as of 2017 - but to be expected in Manchester for a two bedroom. A solid place to live, do plan on asking about the smoke free building if you are sensitive to that. Most buildings allow smoking, and it is noticeable in the hallway. Thankfully I never smell it in the apartment.

Hello Jon, Thanks for your question. We do not have an elevator at this property. We do have them at our apartment building at 875 Elm St in downtown Manchester. You can call our office at 603-668-8282 to inquire about these 1 and 2 bedroom styles. Pets are welcome at this building too.
