My wife and I walked into McGovern Hyundai very early on Saturday, April 30, 2022, looking for a Palisade or Santa Fe. We ran into salesman, Nick Giannetti, who was kind enough to miss his morning meeting to answer some basic questions and show us some vehicles. Even though it was the last day of the month, Nick wasn’t pushy at all, which was huge for us. Nick was very knowledgeable about both models and we opted that a 2022 Santa Fe Limited would be perfect for our needs. Negotiations were easy as Nick has a great relationship with management. He got us a very fair price for our trade and the new vehicle. There was a longer wait for the registration to arrive than we’d have liked, but Nick was honest and straightforward about the delay. We received 5 star treatment from Nick. If you’re shopping for a new Hyundai, I would recommend making an appointment with Nick Giannetti and let him make the car buying experience as simple as it should be. Revised: this is a revision of an earlier two star review. The dealership contacted me about my concerns and addressed them satisfactorily. Review: most of the sales process went smoothly. There was a little miscommunication between the salesperson and I about what would happen when the registration arrived. The car failed inspection due to a worn and falling apart wiper blade (for which the dealership is reimbursing me for the replacement). Also, the financing guy slipped in a $7K package deal that wasn't clearly priced. So there are 2 lessons here for future car shoppers: first, when the financier asks which package deal you want, an available and appropriate answer is "none, thank you". Second, your salesperson will help address your addressable issues even a couple of weeks after the sale, so give them a call and trust them. All it will cost you is a few minutes on the phone.
