Named after my great-uncle William Latta Beckett, who used to own the land around Latta Dr. He, his siblings and parents used to own most of the land between Latta Dr, Davis Ln, and Convict Hill Dr, including the original "Convict Hill" quarry. Now all laid to rest at Boggy Creek Masonic Lodge Cemetery off far south Congress. This land used be be my Hundred Acre Woods as a kid in the 70s when it was my grandmother's ranch. I had it all to myself back then. Glad folks nowadays appreciate it like I used to :-)

I love this little kid playground. It was the perfect size for our 4-yr-old. Great walking trails and loved seeing the squirrels. It is definitely a must visit.

Nice place within suburbia to get a little nature maybe a relaxing walk, jog, or do some biking. Several area's in the woods provide cover from sun in heat of summer.

Nope. All dogs need to be on leash.
The gravel paved trail is often used for dog walks, but there are other, more remote, and often prettier trails that are sometimes used for dog walking. No off leash dogs on the main trail, but, its not a problem on the other trails.
