Experienced a private charter on the Yankee Clipper, all family and close friends. The crew is exceptional with children, what a great job teaching the kids how to fish and explaining the different fish to them......WOW. Captain was extremely knowledgable and professional, when moving spots he even stopped to show us some whales in the area. Great great grea trip!

A group of friends and I did a private charter on May 18, 2022. We left the dock around 9 AM and were back at 5 PM. It was windy on the way out, but the winds lessened throughout the day. It took a little under an hour and a half to reach our fishing spot (about 9 miles out). We anchored down and started to catch fish immediately. The two deck hands, Megan and Jeff were great. You baited your own hooks (with clams) and they helped unhook the fish. We never moved spots because the fishing was pretty much non-stop. We would often catch two fish on every drop (two hooks per line). We all limited out on haddock. A lot of cod were caught but tossed back since regulations didn’t allow cod harvesting during this time. A few of us also caught some rockfish. Overall, it was a very enjoyable trip – good crew and great fishing that day. A few things for people to know are: it will take between 90-120 minutes to get to your fishing spot, and the same amount of time (or longer) to get back to the dock. Take Dramamine if you’re at all prone to motion sickness. The boat crew will sometime smoke cigarettes.

Yankee fleet does a fantastic job, it is a great boat, the crew know exactly what they are doing, and the group of "regulars" are very welcoming. Cannot recommended this boat enough.

First time deep sea fishing and had a blast! A wonderful experience! The crew were very helpful with information and with the fishing needs like untangling lines, refilling the bait, resetting the rods and the fish cleaning and fileting! Definetly will be back!

Yep but it’s on Tuesdays now, the limited capacity trips. The marathon trips are Thursdays.
Denise, we do have galley's aboard all of our vessels. They all provide drinks and snacks and some provide hot foods with a grill. Our full day trips DO NOT include the rod rental in the price. It is $7 extra to rent a rod.
You get there early 630 or call ahead pick a spot and pay extra 40, I just show up at 630, we went with 6, or 8 and there were still spots open
What are called reddish are actually.ocean perch, small but great eating. 9 inch minimum no season or limit
The best way to answer questions are to call yankee fleet and ask them.
12:30 in the afternoon
Yes on deck and also u can go to the upper deck to get away from people hopefully
Just like a restaurant or bar, 15%+ of ticket price if the crew and galley make your trip enjoyable
A short season in September most likely. Otherwise, prohibited.
Full day trips leave at 7:00 AM till 4:00 PM for 9 hour trips, Marathon Trips leave at 5:00 AM till 5:00 PM 12 hour trips, and half day trips are seasonal
Clam is what's best at the moment for haddock. Cod like the squid and you can't keep unless you go on their trip to gulf of maine
Go online search "google" or call around bait and tackle shops near you
53 degrees with a 90 percent chance of rain
Afaik, Yankee doesn't do squid fishing.
7:00 AM on Mondays for full day trips (9 hours)
