I have been getting my extensions done here for years then moved back to NYC and I drove back this week specifically to get my cut color and extensions done here because NO ONE does custom extension like extology! Yes other places can simply add length but they do not do what this team can create which is beautiful hair that no one has ever known is not my natural hair. I trust them with my frail hair and worth every second of the drive. I am thrilled with the way my hair always turns out. Love you guys!

Allana is a hair magician!! I went to Extology for extensions to achieve a fuller look, and the results FAR exceeded my expectations. Allana makes the entire process seamless, and I've received so many compliments on how much fuller my hair looks and how hidden the extensions actually are! I've already scheduled my next extension appointment!

Kelcee fixed my hair, did an amazing job, and gave me exactly what I asked for! I asked for her to lighten my hair more, give me an ashy tone, and keep my dark roots! She did such a great job! She really listened to what I wanted. I would highly recommend this salon and specifically Kelcee (I have already told all of my friends to go!) She was also really easy and fun to talk to, which is always a great plus!

Please don’t. Removing your own hair extensions can cause severe damage to your own hair. Please schedule a professional removal. Even if you had your extensions applied at another salon, we would be more than happy to take them out for you and make sure your hair is healthy and shiny.
Top quality best hair extensions can range from $500-$5,000 depending on the application method used, how much hair is needed to create the perfect look, and how much time it will take to apply the hair.
The time of the appointment can range depending on the application method used and how much hair is being applied. The average timing for a full head application is anywhere from 2 to 8 hours.
Yes, it is normal for hair extensions to shed.
Short answer: No. Long answer: Because we cannot guarantee the integrity of any other hair extension manufacturer, we only work with and custom order top-of-the-line hair extension brands that we have handpicked after years of research, education, certification and experience.
At our salon we provide strand-by-strand, tape-in, clip-ins, custom hair pieces, and custom hair wigs/systems.
You can only purchase clip-in extensions, hair pieces, wigs, ponytails and bangs at our salon. All other hair extension methods are custom ordered for each client to be applied at our salon, and can not be sold separately to any client. Please keep in mind that we do not stock or keep any inventory on hand. All of these can be custom ordered following your consultation appointment.
Never go to bed with your hair wet. Make sure to have your hair up in a bun, ponytail or braid to avoid tangling. It is recommended to use a satin or silk pillowcase to avoid any friction in the hair.
Yes! As long as you follow proper maintenance instructions (provided to you at the end of your application appointment), you can absolutely participate in physical activity in and out of water.
You shouldn’t use combs of any kind, or brushes with balls on the end of the bristles.
After your application appointment and depending on the method of extensions used, we recommend waiting 24 to 48 hours before washing your hair at home. We do not recommend washing your hair everyday, and the ideal time frame should be every 2 to 4 days, or if your hair feels oily or dirty.
Any hair treatments should be done by a hair extension specialist, otherwise the treatment may ruin the integrity of the hair extension bond and diminish the longevity of the hair extensions in your head.
Yes you can have your hair colored by a professional colorist who knows how to work with hair extensions. You can not color your own hair with extensions at home because the box color will damage your hair extensions (plus we wouldn’t recommend box color as it will damage your own hair, too!).
The best quality hair extensions can be colored (darkened, glossed, low lighted). They can not be highlighted or lightened.
Yes absolutely! Top quality hair extensions can be blow dried, curled and flat ironed with proper hot styling tools and approved hair care products.
If the hair extensions are applied properly you can absolutely wear your hair in a ponytail.
Yes there are, hair extensions come in varying textures and colors, and can be perfectly custom matched for your hair texture and color for a seamless blended look. No one will know those curls aren’t yours!
Yes! Extensions can be for you if you’re active as long as you’re taking care of them while you are enjoying life. Make sure your hair is up in a ponytail, bun, or braid, and rinse out your hair after any activity to remove any sweat/oils/dirt or whatever you get into, to prevent any slipping or damage to the bonds.
Hair extensions should not damage your hair if the appropriate method is selected, correctly applied, and the extensions are properly maintained. Extensions can damage your hair if they are too heavy, if the bonds are too big or too tight, or if the hair gets tangled and matted. Hair extensions should never hurt (if you feel pain, they can damage your hair).
Hair extensions can last anywhere from 4 weeks to 6 months. This all depends on a variety of factors; what method of hair extension application is used, the thickness of your own natural hair, the health of your own hair, how much you sweat/workout, how oily your hair gets, how often you wash your hair, how much you style it, and how fast your hair grows.
Yes, hair extensions are a great choice post-chemotherapy once your own hair has grown out to at least 1.5 to 2 inches in length depending on the density of your own hair, and if they are applied correctly. They are a great way to transition from wearing a wig while growing your hair out. At Extology, we offer 20% off all hair services and products for cancer warriors.
Your hair has to be long enough to cover the bonds, approximately 1.5 to 2 inches in length, depending on your hair density.
