Helping people who are TRULY in need is a wonderful thing. Unfortunately im a working mom of 2 one of my children are disabled. I went there 4 the first time in 6 yrs just 4 a little help feeding my kids and my elderly mom. And i was turned away. In the lack of paperwork like all my gas receipts 4 a month and things i clearly couldn't get. I do work partime but i make 200$ a week. So im not full of cash. It saddens me to see people who go there once a mth. Who get lots of food but i couldn't receive help for one day. I think they should b more open to people who work part time for pennys who truly need a lil help. And havent been there in years.

We accept donations of nonperishable foods that are within the expiration date. Donations can be brought directly to Gerry's Food Pantry during the hours of 9am - 4pm on Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays. Thanks for thinking of us!
For your first visit, you need a picture ID and current proof of residency in our service area (a bill or business letter with your name & address dated within 30 days). We serve residents of Rochester, E. Rochester, Gonic & Farmington only.

We are going to a Monday & Friday "Drive Up" pantry from 1-3pm. Current clients show a picture ID. New clients must call us first.

All volunteers need to be age 18 or older to volunteer with us.
If you are a qualified scheduled client of Gerry's Food Pantry, you can pick up your holiday basket during any of our open times.
