Made a quick stop here to pick up some bread and something quick to throw in the oven for dinner after spending the day at Rainbow Springs Stare Park. Save A Lot is conveniently located next door to Ace Hardware which I also had a need to drop by on my way home and I typically prefer these smaller stores for quick stops for convenience items or staples in between our scheduled pick ups at the larger grocery chains. This store is a small no-frills discount grocery similar to an Aldi, even had the quarter released shopping carts. I quickly found the wheat bread I was looking for and narrowed my quick dinner choices down to a bag a frozen fish sticks and frozen french fries. The frozen items are stored in an open topped freezer which I have see before but when I grabbed the top bag of sticks I noticed that they were not frozen, I dug down to the bags near the bottom and found one that was at least not mushy and paused for a moment wondering if perhaps the bag I just found may have previously been one of the bags on top. Checkout was efficient as I may have been the only shopper in the store but the cashier treated me much more like a task to complete than a customer or even a human being. She was making faces at another employee somewhere off in the distance behind me, no greeting, no thank you, not even any eye contact. Not that I came here to be social, I’m fact quite the opposite, but it was just weird.

Nice SaveALot to come to. Usually friendly workers, prices are great and sometimes they have brand name items. I dont suggest getting most of the meats, they aren't as good as other places.
