It seemed to me dishonest things go on here. I base this off of personal experience and observing over 2 years. It appears "regulars" will have friends run up prices for them if a non major buyer is bidding on their cattle. "Regulars" & large herd sellers get their livestock sold ahead of livestock dropped off befor theirs. I have also noticed livestock being loaded about an hour befor the auction started (the man stated he had just bought them). Market reports don't seem to match day of sale prices. When we inquired we were advised the auction was providing him with the prices for the report. I have seen excessive used of force with the animals.

The staff was very nice. I took 17 head of goats in to sell. This morning one of my mamas had a set of twin boys. So, I carried them in. Put tags in all of them. Sat for 2 1/2 hrs watching all the goats sell. Low & behold, my new babies did not go thru the sale. They matched 2 other babies with one of my mamas. So, I asked at the register. They said they couldn't match the numbers up, but I could watch the video. Why would I watch the video, I just sat for 2 1/2 hrs on every goat. My husband said to just settle and take the money. We got paid for 17 goats. But in my mind, my poor newborns went home with someone with their mama.

Monday cattle sale starts at 1 pm and the 1st. Friday if each month Goats and Hogs sale starts at 12 noon.
I believe they do during the hog and goat sales only. It takes place the first Friday of every month.
I dont believe so. You can call and check.
I'm just a cattle producer but all livestock are sold either by the pound or head. I'm sure yours will probably be sold by the pound. Call livestock market and it will give you a phone number to call before sell this Friday.
Cow sale every Monday
No. Only livestock. Cows that is, as far as I have seen. But Rural King has a swap meet on select weekends and I have seen chickens/roosters there.
Yes sir
You can take them Thursday afternoon 12-8 or Friday morning 7 - 1130
Animals are not consigned in advance. If we know of anything special it's posted on our Facebook page.
This livestock market is open Monday. Except closed all major holidays. Mondays are all cattle sales only. They have a mixed sale of hogs, sheep, goats, etc fit Friday of each month. Monday cattle sale starts at 1pm. So if your selling of course you must have them there earlier. The First Fri sale of farm animals each month is a Cash only sale just so you know. If you need to know more call Ocala Stockyard
No Saturdays and 1 pm on Sunday only to receive animals for Monday's sale.
Our hog sale is the first Friday of each month and we do sell the boars if they are tagged and we get a bid on them if there is no bid we call you to come and get the animal or we charge 50$ to have it disposed of properly.
