If you or a family member have autism don’t bother calling them. I’m an autistic adult and they threatened to arrest me when I was having a meltdown. Mind you, I was not being physically aggressive in any way, the officer just didn’t like my town. I’ve tried to fill out the Special Needs Registry twice not they supposedly “never received it” even though the second time I delivered it in person

Today, LPD, NHSP, VSP, CPD,EPD and many many more law enforcement agencies risked their lives and worked their butts off to catch a very sick man who unfortunately shot and killed his mother at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center. Nobody else was hurt, everyone went home safe to their families including every single staff member of dhmc, every visitor, every patient (not the ones who are inpatient) and every single officer, emt, fire fighter and so forth because of your hard work, team work and dedication to keeping our community safe. My daughter was at school just down the road from the hospital, they locked down the schools to assure safety to all students! I can't thank LPD enough, for their hard work today as well as everyone else's! My best friend was in the building today, she works there, my heart was in knots until I got the "I'm safe" message! That's all thanks to you guys!!! My baby girl made it home safe and that's all thanks to you guys!! Thank you SO much! Keep up the great work!
