I literally feel like an idiot. For whatever reason a seed was planted in my brain, years ago that “Parkway Music” was an, I need a recorder for my 3rd grader, I need a starter guitar for my daughter, kind of place. I’ve played guitar for almost 30 years. I’ve DRIVEN to Sweetwater in IL. There was no need. Jimi Hendrix could shop at Parkway, it certainly fits my needs lol. And let’s be honest - we want two things from guitar shop staff. To leave us alone so we can touch everything guilt-free. To help us when we need it. Parkway’s staff is perfect.

I have been shopping at Parkway since I was 8 years old but this is my first review. They have never done me wrong. Today I went in to get a new guitar. They had exactly what I wanted and gave me a very fair trade-in on the instrument I brought in. They were knowledgeable and friendly and very helpful in every step of the process. Prices are fair and they really won't screw you or try to upsell. They offered me a gig bag and of course I took it but they didn't try to sell me a really expensive one. They offered me the 30-dollar one, I liked it, I bought it. Easy. Experiences like this one are common for me at Parkway, and that is why, having been a loyal customer for 24 years, I plan to keep buying all my gear from them for as long as I possibly can. We have been to Parkway Music many times over the years and now that our kids are running their own band we're there quite often! Every time we are there I am impressed with the help we get, from the first hello as soon as we walk in the door to the guidance they provide. With us being new to much of this, they have answered every question we've had and have helped us understand so many details to help us make the right decisions. We have purchased several instruments and now sound equipment from them and every time we leave feeling really good about the experience and have confidence that we spent our money the right way. And every single staff member we've worked with has been a joy to work with. We have not had a single bad or even mediocre experience! Every experience is great! I really can't thank them enough!
