Some of the most diverse and extensive terrain anywhere on the East Coast, excellent snowmaking and grooming, and a lively local restaurant and bar scene make this resort a must-visit destination for serious skiers and boarders in the Northeast. The selection of food and drink in mountain lodges has gotten quite decent (if predictably expensive) in recent years. As for lodging, there’s a wide variety available at various price points both on and off mountain.

Did 2 days of skiing here with 1 lesson. This was the first time I ever skiied and the skii instructors here are really helpful. I was able to get on green trails by the end of my trip which was really fun. Highly recommend for people like me while are really new.

A lot of the black diamonds were closed when we visited but that did not stop us from having a ton of fun on the blues and greens! Killington is about 10 hours from my home and made for a perfect winter vacation. The views on the mountain are beautiful and there are plenty of different trails for different tastes.

Fantastic ski hill and World Cup is a great time during thanksgiving. The vibe is great and the mountain is huge with plenty of accommodations and food. LOTS OF OUT OF STATE people however, this is a touristy place. If you are looking for quiet, local and friendly go to any other VT or NH hill.

Dogs are not allowed anywhere that food is served. They are allowed anywhere off the deck. And yes a few romp down Superstar to much cheering alongside their skiing owners!
Of course you can. You may want to carry it on your lap when riding up on a lift or it will cause you to sit to far foreward.
"Night riding" is not expressly prohibited but no lifts operate beyond 4pm. The only places in Vermont that still offer night skiing are Bolton Valley and the Lyndon Outing Club, both of which are a bit further north (not close to Killington/Pico). Contrary to myth and rumour, Pico night skiing went away in the 90's due more to costs of operation (employees, insurance, financial return) than anything to do with "risk".
April 7th
I don't believe that there is anything in winter to camp.most close for winter months
Yes, the trail is called Bear Cub. You can also do Snowshed Crossover to Great Eastern to Bearly, all three are green (easy) trails.
If you go on a popular day you can probably meet up with some people
Yes, but this isnt their website... this is just google maps. Go on their website.
I was in high school (in the early '70's) and I recall tales of June's “skim the pond” competition (at the bottom). The next decade brought "Mount Saint Helen" ash to the breeze & my sis'-in-law recalled THAT year as the latest (she was working up there).

Yes. Most of my mountain friends snowboard. Its a great mountain for all levels. There are lots of double blacks as well as enough long green trails. Many blue..a few single blacks. There's trees too. I am a season pass holder plus ikon. For VT is one of the better mountains especially with the lines
The app and website will give you the most up to date info
It's early season with just three trails, conditions are dependant on the day. December is better then November. It's not getting good in this state until February!
Not until after world cup so it will be around December or January

All depends on the shop and level of equipment. range $35-60 a day.
Yes with social distance
I'd put the overall volume close to half or maybe 60% of what it was a year ago.
We haven’t announced an opening date yet. As soon as we have adequate snowmaking weather, we’ll make an announcement.
Stay in the village much cheaper and more fun
Well it was mentioned it is artificial snow. It is extremely hard to tell the difference between real snow and man made. It’s real snow created by mixing water and high pressure air being shot onto trails.
We stayed at the snowed Inn. It was a mixed group in October. It's a block off killington rd. Bye Casey's Caboose
Not so sure about it cuz I've been there in the summer time for my Spartan race.
No. Snowmaking temperatures are moving in, so hopefully by the end of next week!
Always ASAP, they make snow but it is entirely weather dependant.
They usually stay open through the end of May at least, but often Superstar will be the only trail open. There have been years when they were open on July 4th but it's been a long time since that's happened. Usually good skiing can be had through the end of April. But if you like spring skiing and bumps Superstar will be available much longer.
Old enough

Sales center at Snowshed Base Lodge.
We have a vendor, Stor-A-Ski, located in front of Snowshed Base Lodge (parking lot side) who stores skis and poles and snowboards. They don't store boots, helmets, etc. If you're staying at the Killington Grand Hotel, they have a ski/snowboard check.
From the Killington website: Overnight Parking Overnight parking is prohibited in all lots except for the overflow lot at Skyeship (across Route 4 from the base lodge). There are no services available in the lot. Services are available inside Skyeship Lodge during normal operating hours. Please be prepared to move your vehicle during snow removal operations in the morning.
Yes. It was icy last week, but the storm is supposed to drop a foot or more in upstate NY. Probably alot there too.
U can find easy trails from the all peaks or find very challenging terrain.
On leashes outside I believe yes. People hike all the time with dogs.
