I had looked at other reviews in advance so I was not surprised by its smaller size. It actually ended up being larger than I expected because of that. I felt the price of admission is fair. We saw the Paul Caponigro and The Company We Keep exhibitions as well as the local section and the Community Animal Show and enjoyed them very much. It was nice having somewhere dedicated to photography, would love for them to have more space to showcase more styles of photography and artists. Parking in the underground garage was fine, although a little confusing at first to find for a tourist. The staff was friendly and informative.

My wife and I are both into photography so we appreciated the art and took our time. That said it only took about an hour to see everything. There are 2 dead end wings. Maybe 50 to 60 photos? If you're in the Curtis Park area it's nice to come inside for a look around the lobby, which is very nice.

Ive been meaning to stop by the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts for a couple of years now. I just had never made time. The ladies running the front desk were nice. I was not impressed by their exhibits, and the layout of the museum is not the best, but I love that we have a museum in Tampa dedicated to photography. I just wish it was better. Despite my current 3-star rating, I will be back and reserve the right to update my rating in the future. FWIW, the museum is located in a great part of downtown.

Very pretty building, really nice lady at the service desk. I was expecting more, there were one and a half galleries open. It did not take very long to go through the whole thing which was slightly disappointing. The photographs were nice but it would have been nice to have more to look at.

There are several parking garages nearby plus limited metered street parking. When I visit I park in the Poe Garage just to the north.
It depends on the event you're going to. Some events are free but they ask for donations some have a small charge. All of the shows I've been to have been voluntary donations.
