This is a star-shaped blue flower, with purple touch on its plates. Star-shape, blue-purple flowers decorate blue-eyed grass in spring and early summer. A wonderful plant for edging a walkway or the front of a cottage garden border, this compact perennial grows in a slowly spreading clump. Although “grass” is in its name, blue-eyed grass is actually in the iris family. Its sturdy leaves remain green and upright throughout the growing season.

We listened to a great group at the Bandshell. Unfortunately it was the last one of the Season. We can't wait until it starts back up again.

A beautiful park for events. Pet friendly but bring them water. Good bit of sun & shade to enjoy. Restrooms too. Perfect spot for The Blueberry Festival.

Stopped here for a few minutes after taking my wife to the dentist. The park mimicks a town, lots of things for the kids to climb, swings, slides, picnic tables and bathrooms nearby. Nice large tress to provide some shade. Overall, fun little stop.

Is there a question I can answer you?
Yes
Brooksville isn't dog friendly :( . Even though Hernando Park is a county park. The county still is in desperate need for dog-friendly venues and parks. http://www.ci.brooksville.fl.us/index.php?option=com_content&view=category&layout=blog&id=52&Itemid=58
Sorry, there are no dogs allowed in any coynty parks. (Except dog park) However, if you are in downtown with your leashed dog, pleaae just be sure to clean up after.
