The great people that work there understand animals and Thrive to get them a good home. Go check them out for a great selection of animals that need homes desperately

Animals are housed in clean protected outdoor areas wbere they can excercise and interact with other dogs. One can tell by just observing the animals that they are well cared for and loved by the staff that care for them.

I volunteer here weekly walking rescued dogs on trails through the woods to exercise & help socialize them with hugs, treats & attention. This is now the SAFE (Saving Animals From Euthanasia) animal rescue center in Hollister, not the Humane Society. It holds mostly the larger dogs. There are also many more dogs & cats needing adoption at the Moody Road location in Palatka. This is a nonprofit that exists on contributions with a shoestring budget & some volunteer help. SAFE does the best they can with limited resources, but the dogs get fed once a day & due to very few volunteer dog walkers the dogs are mostly confined to cages, some having lived there for years. Some do get adopted but mostly they are prisoners.

Palm.coast has a cat hospital that does feral spaying for super cheap.
Good Morning there are a couple .Cat snip , Fix them all and Flagler Cats are a few that offer low cost spay and neutering services
No they do not spay dogs and it is no longer the humane society It is SAFE rescue. All of our dogs are spayed before they are adopted out
This is SAFE rescue and we do not have groomers
I'm sorry but this is actually safe rescue. You can contact Putnam county animal control or safe rescue through their web page.
They had a thrift store but it closed.. Any blankets, towels, sheets etc can be brought to Norma st. Hollister or Palatka location..
They don't charge but I know they've been full capacity. Try Animal Control on recycle drive (I think it is) but it's West off US HWY 17...by the Recycle Department. They are a no kill and will do their best to rehabilitate him/her, spay/neuter & rabbies shot...I had taken a Pitt I found there in Jan but I had to go get him, it was breaking my heart knowing he was there....
There really anyone full time in the office. It isn't the humane society any more. It is a SAFE rescue. Adoptions are available in Hollister and the palates location on moody road.
Always love volunteers. It is actually a rescue called SAFE. Saving animals from euthanasia
Putnam county has a free spay and nuetef program happening now. Go to the animal control in palatka
We have the Neuter Commuter program. You can get more info about this program at the SAFE Thrift Store located in the Sears Plaza on Moody Road.
