My daughter and grandson took some really nice name brand cloths and shoes, all in great condition, but they wanted none of it. Seems they want cheap, no name cloths.

Probably the 2nd worst Plato's when it comes to staff & inventory Pay more for your inventory & have slimmer margins; making 250%/300% ROI on items is nice, but if you just have 90% of the inventory siting for months when you could reduce the ROI to around 100%-200% while buying better brands, you'd probably move 40%+ of inventory monthly in all sections of the store. Go harder into more obscure sizes, buy men's 2XLB+,2XLT+,2XL+ & Women's bigger sizes & promote on TV or YouTube more that you're buying & selling these sizes. There aren't a lot, if any 2nd hand stores that deal heavily in name brand clothing with these sizes after all & would be a great difference maker compared to other 2nd hand stores. Lower shoe prices, offer colored discounts of the week, or pay more for the shoes while expecting to make 100% ROI instead of 250%/300% ROI. You'll increase the quality of inventory, the repeat sellers you get, and buyers if the prices are only marked to be around 100% ROI ($30 into $65, $40 into $85) would be great margins while being reasonable for higher end shoes. I think the same store owner owns other locations around Tampa; I'm sure you're satisfied with where the store(s) are at currently, but a lot can be done to generate a lot more revenue, profit, & over-all customer moral towards the stores (seeing how the ratings for most Platos Closets hover around a 3.7 star on average) I say there's a lot of potential as a highlight of this feedback for this franchisee owner if they decide to implement changes that will improve all aspects of the store(s), outside of ROI.

I brought in a whole laundry basket of barely used mens clothes that my son either out grew too fast or didn’t like. The sizes ranged from 14 all the way to what an 18-24 yr old would wear. They turned all but 6 items down. Saying it was too mature. Your website says you need guys clothes. You need to do better. Teens wear mens clothing sizes like 32 &34 waist. My son is 13 and wears adult clothes. This was ridiculous, this is why your stores never have enough guys clothing.

I looked through the whole store everything was ugly or old. Anything That was decent was way overpriced. I saw a target shirt I bought for $5 (brand new), there for $5 (used). Barley any designer clothes mostly very used fast fashion. I brought a bag full of clothing from tommy hill figure, gap, Colombia, brand new fashion nova set with tag, Gap, American Eagle jeans, vineyard vine, the loft. And the offed me $13. Everything I brought was washed and on hangers. This store might be good for people under 20 who don’t know how to dress yet.

I would try to sell it at one of the online garage sales first because you dont get much for it
They do have to make a profit in order to stay in business. The price they sell thwie clothes for are competitive. If you are looking for more profit, you would be better off selling online through offer up or let go.

We buy clothes everyday day but everything must go thru a inspection process before we can decide if we can buy it for cash on the stop.
