I filed an appeal for a parking citation based with reasonable grounds for dismissal. After dealing with some arrogant city governments in the past, I was nervous about how the appeal would be received. I'm happy to report that the appeal reviewer open-mindedly reviewed my case/evidence and dismissed the citation.

The lady at the front desk parking violations, was very helpful to my wife. Corrected a problem that the violations department made..trying to say my wife never paid ticket. When they already cashed check. Workers like her are hard to come by.

BEWARE...downtown Sarasota has a parking system that is not used anywhere else and is very confusing to visitors. At first glance, the system is incomprehensible so it's easy to get ticketed. When you contest the ticket, they'll deny your appeal and nearly double the fee. There is no option to contest their scam in court! I travel full time and this is the most bizarre and predatory parking system I've ever encountered. Don't go into downtown Sarasota!

I would give zero stars but it won’t let me. Extremely unprofessional employees working in this building and when I was asking questions about paperwork I got multiple eye rolls from the lady who deals with payment. Appearance looked similar to that of a homeless local and attitude was the same,

Jean, I would recommend you visit City Hall and go to the Planning Department on the 3rd floor of the annex building right next to the main City Hall building. Tell them specifically the issue, the property location and they can give you further information.
