We went to Dock 77 for dinner. We have a cabin just down the road and go here a couple times a year with friends/family. Usually a great time, but not this year. I ordered the walleye sandwich for $19 and while this isn’t Bar Harbor I felt it was pretty typical. It came and honesty I had look to see if there was even any walleye on it. Only 1 piece the size of an appetizer chicken finger with a few extra smashed up leftovers. Usually for $19 you expect a larger piece covering the whole bun. I took a bite thinking maybe it’s just me. It was cold. I showed my group and they said to say something. I told the waitress and she said their walleye is a little different than usual, not hot and crispy like most places, just different, but mine looked typical she said. I’m not one to complain, but I was trying to give her a chance to make it right, but she didn’t offer, so I went with it unhappily. About the same time the table next to us sent a chicken sandwich back that wasn’t cooked, it just fueled my terrible time. The bill came, which was over $100 bucks, I was even more unhappy. On my way out I had my suspicions and asked the hostess about the tenure of kitchen, she told me new owners and new kitchen people this year. I could totally tell. This is just an honest review from a longtime patron. Maybe you know how it feels. Looking forward to a great dinner and all it did was go downhill. Too bad.

We stayed here for four nights in June. Overall I would say it was pretty good. It’s important to know that this is a small boutique resort. For us, it was almost a little too quiet, especially on the weekdays. All the rooms have beautiful views of the lake, and the rooms in the newer part (where we stayed) are very modern and nice. There is a marina and restaurant on site, although the restaurant is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Unfortunately the air conditioning in our room was broken when we arrived and it was very hot outside, and we were not told about this at check-in. To be fair, there was a temporary/portable AC unit in the room, but it was quite loud and didn’t lower the room temp below 80 degrees (even overnight). We were able to switch to a smaller, less expensive room with working AC. At checkout I was told that we would get a credit for the price difference, but that they were having problems with their reservation system and that they would call me with an update. However, I was never contacted nor issued a credit. A couple other things we ran into was both our room cards stopped working during our stay, and we had to be issued new room cards. There was also a gas fire pit we were hoping to use to roast marshmallows, but it was not working. I think this place is a nice option if you prefer a low-key, relaxing stay, but stars were deducted due to a less-than-smooth experience and lack of communication from staff.

We stopped in to check out the bar and restaurant, and get a couple of drinks. We have been coming to Gull Lake for over 12 years and never stopped in here for some reason, but will definitely come back again. Great patio, views, and food/drink options. Another great place to add to the list of places on the lake. We will need to come back and try the food, everything sounded amazing.

Let me start off by saying I travel the country for work. I stay at multiple hotels every month and found this place by accident. The price was around 200$ for the night and worth every penny. The staff was on point and genuinely friendly. Loved the host/waiter was super kind and checked on us frequently The restaraunt put out hot and quick food that was very good. The bar tender giving my and my wife one of the best drinks we have tasted in the United States. (I usually buy 2 or 3 drinks at each bar in hotels I stay at, it's usually their special and something easy just for a test) Finally the rooms. Beyond any expectation to be honest. Ask for top floor! The high ceilings, the fire place, and the decor was just amazing. Every feel of being lake side along with the space that makes you feel like you are in a home and not a hotel. Couldn't ask for more.

They have Cornhole, Bocce Ball, Giant Yahtzee, a wonderful outdoor fireplace, and a beautiful sandy beach with Lilly Pads (large floating foam pads for swimming). It used to be a great place to have dinner - when it was managed and operated by JAKE'S - but no longer! Now, I cannot and would not recommend having dinner there. Stay away!! They are having terrible management and employee problems, and cannot figure out how to run a restaurant. And it shows Until they get that figured it out avoid DOCK 77 at all costs! There are much better places such as Ernie's (on Squaw Point to the South) or Zorbaz (to the North. Both of these are excellent locations/choices
