We upgraded our 2010 last year with a nice new one! Workmanship is awful! Molding came off the cupboards halfway thru the summer. The worst is the cushions—I swear they are made from styrofoam bricks! So, now we have to purchase some sort of foam to be able to sleep! I want my old one back!!

Stopped here to check out the Scamp travel trailers. If you are thinking of buying a small size trailer take a look at these. They have a ton of options. Don't expect to take one home soon tho. There is nearly a 2 year waiting/building list. Ask for Shane. He is very knowledgeable on their product.

We purchased the Scamp 13 trailer for a cross country business trip. Though it is new and light, I am extremely disappointed in the ongoing customer service from Scamp. Upon beginning our travels, we realized that the air conditioner didn’t work. Thinking it was something simple, we stopped into a service center only to find out that our brand new trailer had been wired completely incorrectly and was UNSAFE for us to be in. We ended up getting stranded for the weekend while the service center had to diagnose and rewire the system. Scamp acted like it was no big deal that they not only screwed up on a brand new unit, making the wiring unsafe, but that it stranded us on our travels without a place to stay. Customer service never got back to me when I wrote in. My husband and I don’t typically write Poor reviews but their total attitude about the whole thing and even giving us a bit of resistance to us and the service center about how long the repair would take was a bit ridiculous. We love our trailer but this should not be something that happens on a 4 month old unit and Scamp should be a bit more concerned about how screwed up the wiring was.

Why is some people not happy with a Tony Vien? I looked at a 13' Scamp in Canada. I couldn't figure out why about 5 or 6 inches of cement (concrete) was poured onto the floor under the front sofa. My 1978 Boler had a much thicker robust fiberglass body than the Scamp I looked at. Canadian made Bolers are the original of these trailers. I sold my Boler in Toronto Canada to someone from Grand Rapids Mich. Guess he didn't want a Scamp.

We had this work done at the factory on our 1997 Scamp (19') in June 2020, (including axle, 3" lift, 3 new wheels and 15" tires, and longer stabilizer jacks). I can't get to it to measure the new ground clearance just now, but it's pretty high! We are very happy that we also had them add a 2-step retractable stair at the same time. (Doesn't impact clearance, especially) Installed prices were much better than all quotes I obtained in Kansas City area. (It was a long trip to the factory and thus a big investment of time, but keep in mind they already know all about your exact application... less head-scratching! Camping along the way was great, of course.) So far, we're happy we did it. We pull with a Dodge Dakota 4x4 crew cab.
75-85 foot lbs should be good.
Auto part store sell adapters for this.
Scamp has a parts department you can call I was just there to get parts for a 1994
Yeah I concur. Either a marine deep cycle like the Optima bluetop series, or you could do an AGM battery from West Penn or Deka
We pull our 13' with a Subaru Crosstrek with no issues. Being a 16' though I was assume you want to look for something with 200+ foot pounds of torque. Which is not uncommon these days. Check out the Mazda CX5 turbo!
Call Evelands, and call your local trailer dealer/shop.
