Took a group of kids from school here for a 3 day-2 night stay and had a blast. The food us incredible, the beds are awesome, the outdoors is amazing and the staff is top-notch. It is also open to the public for skiing and hiking. Highly recommend.

Went skiing and did the Winter Rendezvous here. The cross country skiing was nice, the trails were well maintained and were groomed. Trail diversity was good. The staff are all knowledgeable and friendly. The Winter Rendezvous was really fun, basically an event with a bunch of reindeer games like curling, Atl Atl, sled pull, archery, axe throwing, etc. There's also a visitor center with a variety of nature information and a gift shop

I'm not shure but I can tell you that the rest of the park is great
Single sized bunk beds of varying numbers. For mattresses they use cheap foam style ones that are about 4 inches thick. Most the rooms have an AC unit like you find in a hotel. The bathroom are usually split into three parts with the toilet, shower, and sinks all separate one another which is very nice. In the bathrooms there are cubbies where each person has space to store their toiletries. The showers were pretty good. Conditionally they wheren't amazing, but not the worst. The bed mattresses where the worst part, a few people in our group did discover dead bed bugs, but they reassured us that the rooms where all treated. And I personally never encountered any. The cranks on the windows where also broken making them tough to open in close.
As for your son's Interests, nothing could serve them better than to learn how to understand the language of nature and that is exactly what is the focus of this fine organization. That knowledge will make him a better hunter, angler, and naturalist. Skills for life.
It's a blast for kids & adults. Let yourself learn new stuff, enjoy the outdoors. Hike to the tower, no matter the weather.
