Unprofessional not compassionate to veterans, as usual lazy workers receiving free pay for zero work.

If you are in need of help or looking for an opportunity to volunteer, the team and facility here are incredible! They work around the clock to provide services to the many men and women experiencing homelessness in our city. The leaders Chris and Erin Wikle are extremely hardworking, compassionate and inclusive to all members of our community. They've seen it all during their 3+ years of service here, however, they approach each individual as if for the very first time. They've also worked tirelessly to provide hot meals, hygiene kits, internet access, masks, food deliveries and more to thousands of local residents struggling with food insecurity, job loss and homelessness during the pandemic. They're also lucky to have Noah and Michael who go above and beyond to make the Salvation Army such an amazing place. These folks inspire me to do even more in our neighborhood, so you should definitely check it out.

Just a free tip; Salvation Army procedure is to run adrug / work program but they must have you promise that your income is Zero And then they allow you into the program... drug use or dependance is not required. Any claim of income like food stamps will disqulify you

Salvation Army is the most transparent not for profit organization in the world, truly existing to meet the needs of homeless children adults, and families. Rehabilitation services for both men and women, of which most of the funds made from sales at thrift stores goes to. Also assisting the elderly with housing, those who would be homeless otherwise. Disaster relief and shelters, all without making a point to brag to the world about helping in these ways and more. They are truly deserving of any time or resources people can donate. I sponsored the Salvation Army in my region with free advertising, bulding awareness in the community as well as a food drive.

We serve a hot breakfast every Sunday morning at 9:45am and we serve dinner on Tues and Thurs at 8:30pm
9:45, but people line up much earlier, and it gets more crowded later in the month.
The salvation army here in Santa Monica unfortunately doesn't have a shelter, but there is a shelter here ran by another organization called OPCC samo shell. The nearest Salvation army shelter is located in the city of Bell Ca.
