Outside of being designed by the great Alister MacKenzie the course is in pretty rough shape. I played 18 and it is pretty clear that the course is not a top priority. I am. 2 handicap and shot 73 despite the greens being in bad shape and mud and glass cutting clumps throughout the course. It’s a great design but not well maintained. For the money $50 I would go play in Oakland for greener/prettier courses.

Fun course in a wild location. Avoid the "cash only" golf cart scam, by insisting on paying with card if you like. SF Parks & Rec have no idea how bad they're getting ripped off.

Very interesting Alister Mackenzie track with a lovely flow to the course. I walked the 18 holes carrying my bag, and the course is flat enough to carry. Greens are furry, and slow, and there were mounds of dirt everywhere. However, that did not distract from the natural beauty and native flora and fauna found on the course. No views of the ocean, but you will hear the sound of crashing waves. Really enjoyed the last stretch 14-18 with the short 130 yard par 3 over the tall reeds, to the 319 yard #17 which is driveable with a breeze behind. Enjoyed and will be back.

A lovely layout, seaside Links course designed by architect of Augusta national in one of his only municipal links courses. Steeped in history, with sea breezes, solid greens and a strong lay out. The fairways are in so so shape in the sea wall blocks the original epic views... But I'm still giving it five stars because for its price has to be one of the best courses available.
