Lovely campground. We had a great time.

Small, beautiful campground in a pine forest along Brule river. One of the best campgrounds I ever visited. Short trail across the old forest over the hill available from this camping, and they have place to push you canoe into Brule or pull out. Couple of sites (7&8) are walk in on the riverbank. Ideal place for those who love Boreal forests and canoeing. The only problem - both campings in Brule State Forest are so good it is difficult to book a site :)

Very peaceful campsites nestled among one of the best rivers for paddling in the state. Pit toilets are kept clean, no showers are on site but after a day of swimming in the river or Lake Superior who needs one. Duluth and Bayfield are small little trips from here and add to the fun.

Beautiful setting, campsites are nestled in a forest of tall pines. Campsites are very nice, level, with fire Rings, cooking grates, picnic table, and a rustic bench near the fire pit. Pit toilets are very clean and tolerable. The campsite includes a lovely picnic area next to the river, with picnic tables grills and a fire ring with benches. There is a canoe landing at the picnic area, with a platform for watching the river or fishing, as well as an excellent Landing for canoes and kayaks. The ranger station is just down the road from the campsite, and there is a wonderful Artesian well head for water. The Personnel at the ranger station are very nice. All of the sites are nice, although campsite number 13 is my favorite. It's a very large and level, with a view of the river.

Yes, electric hookups but no showers and only vault toilets. Very nice campground though and the staff are awesome! You can call the campground directly and they will help you out...
