It's beautiful and peaceful but poorly signposted - Google maps led us right to it but there were no signs at all, and no parking area, just a few places where you can pull over and park on the side of the road. It would be great if the park would put up at least one sign marking the entry to the pathways. But on the other hand, maybe the lack of signage helps keep the area so peaceful!

Pretty fantastic hike. Roadside parking. Various typography. Woods, hillside, meadows, redwood grove and lovely wildflowers. Birds, rabbits, deer. Getting here is a beautiful drive no matter what direction you are coming from. Bring water. It gets hot there.

Great hiking area with lots of trails that are both sunny and shaded. Slight to Moderate elevation gain. Careful if you venture off trial since there is a lot of poison oak everywhere. Beautifully wooded with oak, pine and redwoods (hence the name 🤣)

This is a nice redwood park surrounded in beautiful open grass lands and other trees and shrubs in patches. The loop trail is a good, moderate hike. The views are great.

Everything is dog friendly. You just have to keep them on a leash.
Roy’s Redwoods is named for two brothers from Vermont, James and Thomas Roy. Adolph Mailliard gave them 420 acres in 1877 to settle a $20,000 loan. They built a house where the golf course is now. Marin County Open Space bought 306 acres in 1978 for $420,000. Reference: https://www.marinij.com/2018/01/26/marin-hike-easy-to-imagine-ewoks-while-hiking-in-roys-redwoods
