Attended 9/16/2017 pin ceremony and the PA system was terrible. Could not understand the announcer when names were called. It was mufflled. The chicken dinner was dry and so so. The best part of the evening was sitting with my union brothers and their families.

I just got in, it is difficult. I was 1 of 35 to get in. You can apply select thursdays i think between 2-3 at the dispatch office on figuroa. It took me 6 months to hear back and another month to get an interview. And another 3 weeks to hear if i got in. Very fun job, i recomend learning as much about steamfitters and what they do before applying. Take some classes in welding etc to boost your chances. Good luck:)
