This was my 1st time here, I loved it. Right at the port of LA lies this beautiful little gem. I know with COVID it wasn’t busy at all. But for the most part everyone seemed to be spaced out and considerate to everyone’s personal space. Once it’s warmer I’d love to visit here again.

The pier is one of our favorite destinations for a quick trip to the ocean in San Pedro. The beach on the right side of the pier Is facing the open ocean. The beach on the left side is facing the Marina and port of LA. It’s fun to play in the sand or go surfing. The sand itself is dark; almost black. There are plenty of parking lots. You can find restrooms and grassy areas with picnic table at the entrance to the pier. The restrooms can be a bit gross at times. Parking is $1/hour. Meters accept credit cards. Visitors tend to be nice to each other. I received a non expired parking ticket from someone who left early; twice in 1 month. Thank you kind strangers!
