I have lived in apartments for over 15 years in various cities and states. I have never had such a horrible experience with a management company in all those years. I have had multiple issues since i have moved in but this last incident takes the cake. On Friday 07/16 I called the inform the office that my washer was broken for the 4th time in less than a year. The woman on the phone told me she would put the work order in and that they would come on Monday at 10am (after their 9am meeting). I called at 10am on Monday morning to inform them that i would be leaving the unit so they could work on my washer in peace as i have a dog and i didnt want my dog to bother the maintenance team. The woman who answered the phone (Alyssa) had no clue what i was referring to. My work order had not been placed like i was told on Friday Alyssa made up some story of how there was a vague plumbing issue and they would get to my issue after that. There was zero communication all day even though i asked for a phone call to keep me updated and i kept getting the run around. Finally around 2:30 pm after i called several times to get the status of my work order they told me that someone was going to complete the work order in a bit. Long story short, my washer had to be replaced, what a coincidence since i had asked the last time it broke if i could please get a new one yet my request was ignored. Not only did the maintenance staff give me a filthy washer and dryer from another unit filled with pet hair and stains, THEY ALSO FLOODED MY BEDROOM!!!! There was water underneath my entire bed causing water damage to my personal belongings. Im so fed up with this place and cannot wait to move. The lack of communication is beyond me. I missed work because these people couldnt stick to their commitments. Here are some other issues i have with this place. There are ROACHES! Im so disgusted by how foul this place is. The gym has been out of cleaning supplies for weeks. Instead of going to Target to buy some damn Clorox wipes from the store, they gave me the lamest excuse that their wipes are on back order, we are in the middle of a pandemic and you cant even provide your tenants with the proper tools to keep themselves and everyone else safe? Its a joke. There are dogs that bark nonstop and when i mentioned it to the staff nothing was done about it. The office staff is NEVER in the office and when you address things with them they place blame on everyone and everything rather than just taking ownership for their constant mistakes. I never write negative reviews but i hope i can save someone the misery of living here. I cant wait till my lease is up. Counting down the days!!!!!!!

NOT LUXURY LIVING! This place is not new abs have not been renovated enough to be luxury living. With the new management we’ve been having problems from day one. The faucet in one of it bathroom was dripping water when the knob is turned off, maintenance came and supposedly “fixed” it but we are still having the same issue. They re-assigned our parking spot without telling us and we had to find out ourselves. The worst part was hearing that we weren’t the only ones meaning mgmt was messing things up and NOT COMMUNICATING with the tenants. When I brought this us, Alissa blamed it on a manger that left and never apologized for the confusion they caused or the issue they caused us! To Fix the problem Alissa assigned me a new spot that was already taken and instead of getting this resolved they let sit over the long holiday. THIS MGMT DOESNT CARE ABOUT ITS TENANTS. People are moving out left and right because of the new mgmt and I can’t wait till mine is up! For what we pay this is not worth it!

If I could give them ZERO starts I would. Worst leasing experience in my life. Yesenia Abundis assured me that the holding deposit was for two weeks, then kept threatening us for a whole week to reject our applications because everyday she would state something was “missing” for our approval. She never stated at once what she needed it was always one day I need this then the next day I need that. It kept going like that and with the threats to not approve us until almost the two weeks were up. I honestly think this is how they SCAM people into keeping their holding deposits, because on Friday March 12, 2021 I was approved. I got the approval in writing, then on Monday when I walked into the leasing office she seemed surprised to see me and stated that I was denied. Yesenia said I was denied Saturday March 13, 2021. At this point I’m infuriated because why would they send me an approval letter only to deny me the next day? Yesenia and the manager of the complex proceeded to tell me that there was nothing else I could do and that I would be receiving my holding deposit back. I called corporate Fairmont Management and spoke with Alicia and Julie. Corporate seemed like they wanted to help me, but they stalled until the two weeks were up March 17, 2021 to have Julie call that we were not approved, but that all of my money would be refunded because they didn’t want any problems? This just seems like they are trying to avoid something. STAY AWAY IF YOU DON’T WANT TO BE SCAMMED INTO THEM KEEPING YOUR HOLDING DEPOSITS, MAYBE EVEN SECURITY DEPOSIT! THEY ARE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND FAKE! THEY SEEM TO CARE ABOUT YOU BUT THEY REALLY DON’T!

When I first moved to Portico I was unsure of how the experience would be. The apartments were remodeled which was a huge selling point and all seemed to have a decent amount of light which was important to us but it also had mixed reviews. I think there were 1-2 manager changes in the beginning and things seemed to be a little all over the place but the most current manager has put in work. There were some issues and I remember thinking she probably wouldn't last haha but she did! On so many occasions I saw her working after hours, always friendly and trying to understand and resolve tenant's issues right away. It really makes a difference when you have management on the property that's present and actually cares. I think she's really helped turn the place around. Towards the end of our stay maintenance requests were being handled right away and the property was being better taken care of. I know washer and dryers were being installed inside the apartments which is always amazing. The abandoned Chase parking lot did occasionally have some sus characters after dark but I heard the building was bought out so it won't be abandoned anymore therefore way more monitored. Other than that, the convenience of everything was amazing. We would have guests stay and they could easily walk over to the 24 hrs Bob's Donuts or Denny's, movie theaters, costco, target. Anything you need is pretty much a 5-10 minute walk which you can't beat. I'm a little sad La Michoacana wasn't open up the summer I was there haha but ANYWAYS.. My experience overall started okay and only got better. We ended up moving into a bigger space but I can say I walked away from that experience with no regrets.
