Les Schwab Tire Center

I've always trusted Les Schwab in every aspect. However, I went in recently for a break inspection and I was told that I needed replacing of everything, and was given an exaggerated quote of around $1,000. Since I hadn't noticed any signs of such a drastic situation with my breaks, I decided to take it to another tire center to see if I was in dire need. Instead, at another tire center in Klamath Falls, I was told my breaks were just at the point of consideration but not in immediate need of repair. We asked about all the other things that Les Schwab in Merrill said were in dire need of repair, and it simply was not the case. The quoted price was much, much less. Now I don't know what to think. I get the impression that Les Schwab only does complete overhauls of the break system no matter what. I don't know if that's just standard policy for the guarantee. In the past, I just took their word for it. Now I'm not sure if I've been taken for a fool in the past, as well. At any rate, I've had break repair done with them in the past, and it was never this high of a quote. The three star rating is for the consideration of the respectful treatment customer service has usually given me whenever I dealt with them.

Came is at 6:01 pm. Sold me an adapter for my lug nuts. They also rotated 2 tires for free and checked tire pressure. I was over 2 hours from home. These guys and Les Schwab rock.

I'm so grateful for the kindness and experience the people of this Les Schwab showed me and my family. What could've been a long, scary day of being stuck on the side of a narrow highway (with no shoulder, major semi truck traffic, a heat wave, and the start of three major wildfires) turned into Les Schwab driving to us and replacing the tire for free so we could be back on the road within 30 minutes.
