First and foremost, the entrance is free of charge, but you can donate if you wish to keep it running smoothly. However, make sure that you make reservation before you come to avoid long queues. Secondly, I have to say that the Como is well maintained and you can enjoy the animals and flora here. Thirdly, it is child-friendly place. It will amaze your children. Again, must see in Minneapolis.

Such a great place for the cost, free! Definitely a place for the younger ones. Easily able to keep them in sight and not worry about losing them. Make sure you bring cash, no credit cards are taken for most, if not all things. We were able to easily rent an electronic wheel chair, $30. My kids had a great time. We were very upset como town was not open. We didn't realize it was not open all week, and only had specific days. Make sure you look that up if that is something you wanted to do.

There are quite a few empty exhibits right now, which is a little sad. But the zoo is free, so you certainly can't complain. The animals we did see were fun! They have a big cat spot, a primate house, and a seal/arctic area. The animals were feisty, especially that dang ostrich who kept biting the giraffe's tail. Definitely a quick walk zoo. (We went in an hour and a half before closing and still had time to see everything.) Lots of fun!

Worth the the visit for the conservatory alone. The gardens were well laid out and the signs identifying the plants were actually helpful and very well done. The seasonal flower garden was incredibly beautiful and a special feast for the eyes after quite a long winter. Make sur enough reserve your spot in advance by a few hours or you won't be able to access the zoo or conservatory when you want. Parking near is limited so arrive early or plan to walk. The zoo itself is well laid out and there is a good sizes picnic area if you bring your own lunch.

Yes, they are open during the winter months. (All 9 of them.)
We are a free Zoo and Conservatory! Suggested donations are $3 for adults and $2 for children
I dont know if they do that.....but you could call the zoo and ask
We have two sloths! One in Tropical Encounters and one in the Primate building!
I would bring your own wheelchair to be on the safe side I know they have children strollers that are available for rent but I've never seen wheelchairs
The Conservatory opens this week! More information can be found here: https://comozooconservatory.org/conservatory-reopening/
Strollers and wheelchairs are available for rent at Garden Safari Gifts. Single-seat strollers and wheelchairs are available for $6 per day. Double-seat strollers are available for $9 per day. Some type of collateral, such as a driver license, is required and will be held at Garden Safari Gifts during the rental period. All rentals must be returned to Garden Safari Gifts before the Zoo and Conservatory close.
We do have several animals that have been deemed unreleasable including our cougars and several sea lions. The majority of the animals have been born in zoos.
If the tree had white/pinkish colored spikes with sage colored long leaves, you may have smelled a Russian Olive tree. The smell is just amazing. And now is the time. Along the paths of East and West River Roads, you can sometime walk along and be caught in the breeze off the trees. Really fun!
