I am so glad I found Dr. Marks after my accident. I was rear ended at a stop light, and suffered injuries that required months of treatment. He was very clear from the start with his treatment plan and gives you at home exercises to do as well to keep up on treatment between appointments. Dr. Marks not only got my concussion & injuries under control, but he helped me deal with the intimidating insurance company of the person that hit me. As someone who doesn't get into accidents much, I was quite lost with the entire situation in regards to dealing with the insurance company & talking about settlement so I was/am so thankful to have found a doctor that could help guide me through that process. I feel super lucky to have stumbled across reviews from his practice and finding my way there. You can really tell he cares about what he does. If you're reading this, I'm telling you- go see him.

Dr. Barry Marks is the best chiropractor ever. I was rear-ended by another car a couple of months ago shortly afterwards, I began to have back and shoulder pain. I called his office and was able to schedule same day appointment. I went into his office for consult, x-rays and immediately started treatment 3 times a week. He also gave me some home exercises that helped vanish my pain. I got pregnant during my treatment. I still felt safe getting treated during pregnancy. He has very friendly staffs. I would highly recommend him.

I am extremely lucky to be referred to this wonderful chiropractor. The moment you enter Dr. Marks office wou feel really calm & relaxed. Marissa is very kind & professional and truly makes you feel welcome. Dr. Marks shows his professionalism, compassion, understanding & sensitivity to your specific needs on each visit. His low light laser therapy is amazing. It seems to repair the missing link / disconnection between the injured brain and your body. I am extremely thankful to him and finally feel I am on my way to feeling whole again. Thank you so much!! L

I went to see Dr. Marks because I had headaches, neck pain and numbness in the back of my head for several years. The pain medication and NSAIDS prescribed for me only worked for a couple of hours at a time and hurt my stomach. I was amazed at how much better I felt after the first treatment. A few treatments later and I was completely without headaches, pain in my neck or numbness in the back of my head. Dr. Marks is very professional, knowledgeable, gentle. He takes time to answer all my questions. His office staff are great too. I highly recommend Dr Barry Marks! He is a wonderful doctor.

In most cases, no. During an x-ray we may need you to remove some of your clothing and wear a gown. For routine exams and treatments you are not put into a gown. If you have an issue like a knee injury and you do not want to wear a gown, you are encouraged to bring shorts or sweat pants to make it easier. Turtle necks and tight jeans are not the best things to wear to your chiropractor!
Most people do not experience pain during an adjustment. If you are in a lot of pain, Dr. Marks will gently stretch and move you and apply therapies to calm down spasm and pain prior to a giving you a gentle adjustment.
On a routine visit, you will receive heat and electrical muscle stimulation therapies (like an electric massage!) stretching/exercises and a chiropractic adjustment by hand. Some patients just like to come in for a quick adjustment without therapy and we are happy to do that. Most patients enjoy the relaxing music and therapy to unwind before being adjusted.
Dr. Marks will carefully analyze your spine to find stuck spinal bones and then use just enough force with his hands to unlock them. This often will cause a "cracking" or "popping" sound. This procedure is very safe and most find it pleasant. In most cases it is not painful. Dr. Marks does not do instrument adjusting (handheld clickers, guns, etc). Many patients who were apprehensive at first, find Dr. Marks' adjustments to be enjoyable.
In most cases, yes. Unless Dr. Marks finds something on your exam that he feels is potentially serious and needs further tests to confirm, you will be adjusted on day one.
No. For routine chiropractic treatments, even new patients, x-rays are often not needed. X-rays may be recommended prior to an adjustment if: You have pain that radiates from one place to another (neck to your arm or hand) You have had a recent trauma (lifting heavy object, car accident, fall, etc) Your history and exam findings indicate a serious problem or a major postural issue that needs investigation
If you have automobile medical payments coverage (Med Pay), it will cover your treatments up to the policy limits whether the accident is your fault or the other driver's. If the accident was not your fault, your treatment can be paid by Med Pay, health insurance or on a lien. If your case is accepted you will be treated with no up front, out of pocket costs.
We accept most PPO's, regular MediCare, HSA cards, Auto Medical Payments coverage, Attorney Liens. We also provide no-interest cash plans Sorry, we do not accept HMOs, MediCare assigned HMOs or CalOptima (MediCal)
