Found me housing quickly and that's all they were there for. Nothing else really. I ended on a very bad note. Mostly my fault. A nervous breakdown because of a fight I got into with my roommate which a staff member saw and absolutely nothing was done about it. Nothing. I had to sleep in the same room with this thing and I was dealing with internal and external factors that led up to this breakdown and they say this is a mental health place that is supposed to help clients but everything these employees did was beyond counterproductive. I'm speechless. I'm appalled that they refused to helped my stay here after a physical altercation. They "lost" 3 of my packages that said they were delivered. So 2 stars. Thanks to the case worker who found my now new home. No one else.

24 hour restroom and showers, always security, always clean and very polite staff.just knock at the door and let the security guard know what service you will be needed.

If you've embarrassingly find yourself having to stay in a group setting it is the best of the shelters. However the most of the staff have a non caring judgmental attitude. Its not a drug program so often times people might be under the influence, be it drugs or alcohol. In my case a violent drunk roams around the facility offending peoples space and peace of mind, i actually had to defend myself not once but 3 times, resulting in a fracrured toe, cracked rib and jammed finger. Why they didnt kick him out the first time is the big question. But i look forward to seeing them in Court. Also they haven't taken the virus seriously. Do yourself a favor and dont ens up in skid row. -5 stars.

As a shelter in Los Angeles the lamp is one of the best if not the best, however it is no longer called Lamp it is The People Concern. You usually become a client through a portal such as the Department of Mental Health. They are also helping me get housing.

They help people with housing, it's best if you have an income because the program will start off by paying a certain amount of your rent and over time they help with less of the portion until youre able to pay the full amount. Keep in mind this isn't an overnight process but if you stay on top of them ad do your part you will eventually get housing

I work as a security guard for the village and I most definitely would recommend for you to check out the village. On one side (Crocker Street) you have the intake location where you apply and they help you with housing and other things as well. On the back side (San Pedro Street) Money Management And the Laundromat and the Showers/Restrooms (males & females available separately of course). So when applying go down Crocker Street first when you go to apply and go luck.
I'm not quiet sure how it works. Clients enter different ways. Depends on program the person is with and think you may be able to get an application on the first of the month. I hope this helps. Good luck
