I had an eye problem and was given an appt. the next day. IMAGINE THAT ! My doctor in Newport makes me wait two months !! Doctor Hayes is so very good that he fixed the issue in ten minutes. Everyone there was polite and helpful.

Brought my three-year-old in to have her eyes checked because I'd been noticing some possible issues. Alex, the optometric tech, was WONDERFUL with her and very flexible. He was so kind and careful and willing to give her the time she needed. Dr. Hayes was also great with her and very informative in answering my questions, and I appreciated his finding a work-around when we couldn't convince my daughter to allow the eye drops. I'll feel very comfortable returning there for check-ups.

Personally don't recommend. I'm unsure about the doctor himself, I'm sure he's quite lovely, but his receptions department leaves much to be desired. I called in on Monday to make an appointment for my contacts exam. Told them I was a new patient as I had just moved to the area and asked them how much it would be total. They told me that as long as I brought my previous prescription in, it would be $60. They said the closest appointment they had was October 30th or November 1st. I told them the 30th was great. I get a call on my cell a few hours later with them asking for some information since my appointment is tomorrow. I tell her that I thought my appointment was on the 30th. She apologized and said that no it looks like it was scheduled for tomorrow. I thought great, I can get in sooner. I asked for clarification on the price as well again and she told me the same $60 total. I get there early the next morning for my appointment. During the process pricing comes up and I bring up the $60. Nope, it's $60 PLUS. I ask what the total would be and they told me ~$270. I decide to just cancel my appointment while I was there. It felt like they pulled a bait and switch on me to get into the office, especially since I spoke to two different receptionists during the appointment making process. There are also a lot of less expensive eye doctors in the area who have a bit more transparency. I'd rather drive to Salem or Newport and know I'm getting the full information, then to trust my health with individuals who seem disorganized at best and intentionally misleading at worst.
