Pit is low to the ground, this allows for warmth to your legs on winter days. Pit is the perfect size for hotdogs and s'mores. The beach has them perfect distance away from the next pit. Bathroom seem not too far from the pits and from parking lot,so you don't have to walk far from your car. Very fun place to take the kids. Other than parking, the beach is free. Watch a beautiful sunset.

Extremely busy city park area with lots of beachfront parking and walk right to the majestic, deep Pacific ocean. Well maintained. Worth the $15 parking fee. Across the street you'll find restaurants many with ocean views. The biggest problems you'll face is overcrowding and people leaving their trash. Trash cans are provided everywhere. Take out Everything you bring in! Bring a shovel to turn and extinguish your fire if you use the fire pit. Boardwalk all along the beach with vendors, food, bikes and pedal carts to rent. Arrive early for rentals. Fun place! Bring sunblock, picnic, towels, umbrellas, water to drink and to wash off the sand. Great surfing, volleyball, and wind surfing area. Gets extremely windy. Plenty of sunshine!

We had so much fun and loved our day at the beach followed by an amazing evening bonfire.

A bit crowded, got therr around 2pm and the beach parking lot got closed at 3 for full capacity! We were at Tower 13. Wasn't hard to find am openfire pit at that time - a few were taken but not all, but around 5pm others came to take the pits. We brought games and food and drinks and chairs but for got umbrellas or canopies which was fine. The waves were BIG and the ocean was very cold and rough and full of small children getting knocked over in the shallows, so we resorted to playing beach volleyball. Met a cool family that let us use the net cause we only brought a ball, had some fun games with our own friends and then with the family! Nignt time wasn't too cold and the firepit was easy to get started. We borrowed gas from another firepit group because we couldn't gwt ours to light. As you can tell, people are nice and fine sharing and super friendly! Only downside is the crowdedness and difficulty parking. Oh, and the beach is kind of dirty. We got covered in dust all the time and felt very sticky and humid from the air and the sand. There were also groups that were smoking weed or pouring wine in the fire which wafered over to us and STANK, but a patrol car was there and when it made the rounds the smell stopped. Overall recommend, just get there early and bring lots of stuff, find a nice spot that isn't busy, dirty, or around groups with drugs or alcohol!

Does anyone know about the status of the bonfires ? If they opened?
Yes. Get there early 8-9am because they get taken early in the day.
$15 a Day unless you are Camping.
No
No reservations are needed
Week days I've been late around 9pm and plenty of pits were still open.
No you don't sorry
Some people are ok with it but u would have to go early so u can see what group of people are willing to share
They are open like a 6 am and close at 10:30 pm
I believe at least 30. Go early first come first serve
Yes they are. Although you may see some dogs off leash I suggest that unless your pet is somewhat or well-trained, doesn't have people issues that they put on a leash. Happy summer enjoy the fire pits!
No you can't. They are prohibited at the beach and in the State of California.
I don't think so.
It is first come first serve!
After you pay for parking you can park anywhere and the pits are in front of there parking areas.
I was also there over Thanksgiving break and they were open then. But I would call if you want to make sure if they are open now.
The beach is open now.
Yes. They close at 10pm per beach curfew.
Yes, they should be I recently went last week on Friday.
Closer to the pier no for sure because they are covered in sand. Beach blvd and south not sure. Not covered with sand but may not be open
I only saw people doing firewood
The fire is enough on the beach it's so amazing and if you stay at the Huntington Beach Hyatt wow just incredible
