Second update: VIS' responses to my review better demonstrate their lack of responsibility and awareness of the issue than I could possibly explain here. The fact that they ignore legitimate concerns because they feel a customer was rude (it wasn't even me, in this case) is childish, and I am paying a price for this lack of professionalism. Update: VIS responded to my review. I never told them what they NEED to do, I made suggestions. I did contact the vendor, and am still in contact to this day. I chose to contact VIS concurrently, because it's not unusual for customers to reach out the manufacturers regarding defects. Furthermore, they resolved to tell the vendor that they could no longer help me, so that wasn't helpful for either of us. Later on, I found out that others have the same issue, and VIS resolved it for one of them. I simply requested, multiple times, to Fred from VIS and through the vendor that I just want the same resolution the other customer receives. Also, I never stated that ALL of the tops have this issue. On the contrary, I even sent them photos of tops they made that didn't. I also never demanded they cover the cost to paint the top again. I explicitly said in one of my first emails that I do not expect that. They primary thing they seem to ignore or can't understand, is that I did receive the filler pieces, but they are not correct. They do not fit. I checked with the other customer that they sent them to and confirmed that they were different. Please don't buy from this company. ORIGINAL:There is already an impressive body of work explaining VIS' poor customer service, but here goes. In about 6 months: I notified VIS that there were defective gaps in my hardtop. They said to contact the vendor I purchased from. Fair enough, I did that. Three months later, I receive filler pieces that don't logically fill the gaps or mount to the top in any useable way. I contact Fred at VIS with plenty of pictures demonstrating the defect, with examples of VIS tops that do not have the gaps, and a couple recently sold tops that do have them. I even contacted another VIS customer who experienced the same issue and sent pictures of the filler pieces he received from VIS along with pictures of the pieces I received to show that they differ. This would concern most manufacturers, who would take action to correct such an obvious defect. Not VIS. Fred lies to me, saying that the tops have these gaps to fit molding. This obviously doesn't add up, since most of their tops do not have these gaps, there is no need for that gap for molding. If "normal", why did they send me pieces to correct a problem that doesn't exist? Fred restates that I should could contact the vendor, so I did. They told me that VIS can no longer help me but they may help pay for body work to correct it. So, after all this, VIS doesn't want to address this relatively simple problem, and doesn't stand by their products or care that they are sending out defective products. The vendor has offered to possibly help pay for body work to correct this. That seems a stupidly expensive option considering VIS could just sent me the cheap pieces they already sent to somebody else. Now I have more leg work to do since VIS doesn't care enough to do the right thing. PS, don't buy a fiberglass VIS hardtop if you have a Toyota MR2 Spyder. I'm actually being incredibly forgiving here. The fitment was poor. Grinding had to be done to fit the front latches. There is a mystery rattle that exists in the interior of the top. The rear latches are useless and have to be ground away. A couple of the threaded holes for screws were not straight inside the frame, making them useless.

***PLEASE READ**** I’m not one to post negative reviews as I’m a business owner and understand things happen. My problem is they quit communicating and will not help resolve the issue. Ordered a front bumper for a foxbody mustang that was so far off from working you could consider it a joke. It took a long time for them to ship in the first place and took me calling to even get that to happen. After trying 2 times to get it to fit as I’m not new to aftermarket parts I informed them there was 0 chance of it fitting. Going on over 2 months of email back and forth they no longer will respond. My hopes are to get as many people to see this as possible so they don’t get burned for the money from a subpar company and product. Feel free to contact me and I’ll gladly forward the email chain. Please do not buy anything from this company

TIME OF WRITING THIS IT IS 5/12/2022 This company is terrible with giving actual ETA’s, I purchased a lip kit for my car on exactly 10/7/2021 its been seven months. I have contacted both the vendor that I purchased through which is BodyKits.com and their customer service seems that they are trying to help and will get back to me in a timely manner. VIS’s customer service on the other hand has been terrible they take at least a couple days to respond to emails, I’m going into the 8th Month of not having my pieces and I keep getting told that they have to check with the warehouse. Even if their “warehouse” gets back to them they tell me it’s not ready yet with no other information as to why they aren’t ready or when it is to be expected. I am going to see if I am ever going to receive the parts I purchased. DONT BUY FROM THEM!!!!

Unfortunately I can't recommend them, I ordered from outcast garage which has been equally terrible. But the story goes like this. I ordered from outcast and had heard that their service sucks, so I tried to cancel, they said it shipped, I contacted VIS and they also said it shipped with CEO. Freight. Gave me a tracking number which doesn't have any tracking to it. A week goes past and I get a totally different tracking number from outcast which also has no shipping info. I even contacted RL freight to verify the tracking number, they said it doesn't exist. Then vis contacts me complaining because I was hostile toward them, well I'm sorry snowflake, but your company said it shipped via phone, not once but twice. So you shipped a bumper but don't have access to the correct tracking info. Do you just throw the product in random trucks driving down the road? The product is yours not outcast. You ship it, not outcast. Dealing with eBay and Amazon which all deal with third part vendors. I've never had this much trouble. I'll update this review if one I get the bumper and it actually fits, or two at least give me a tracking with a product in transit. Today's date is 1/6 bumper was ordered 11/24/2021

Good luck trying to get in contact with them especially when you have a problem, they disappear when there is an issue and WILL NOT resolve.

Does this place sell REAL race cars? Or is this only remote control?

Hello Kol, We do not sell remote controlled cars, or real race cars. We produce composite aftermarket body parts for real cars.
