A sanctuary for poetry. A haven for Literature. A sacred place that houses marvelous works of words composed and scripted by some of the most compelling, innovative and creative minds of Los Angeles and beyond. This is a place made of dreams and labor. A place envisioned by one man and built by few that serves many. A landmark for the diverse poetic community of South Los Angeles that provides a platform for all those who have something poetic to say. A place so unique that you may find within its walls poetry that you wont find anywhere else in the world. This is a place of hope in which poetry lives. A mecca of poetry in the west coast in the making. A hidden gem of Los Angeles called, The Sims Library of Poetry. Poetry Lives Here.

Finally there is a brave space that puts poetry first. In many spaces the poet is treated as the step child. The sign in the parking lot reads "Poetry lives here" I watched this place grow from a suitcase to a garage to a full-scale library.
