We travel for my husbands job and have now found ourselves in Red Lodge. Being a former manager of a brewery, I have high expectations. Fortunately, we’re impressed with everything about Red Lodge Ale’s and Sam’s Taproom. We come for dinner once a week (sometimes twice!) as we genuinely love it. Dilly Vanilly is a fav in our house! It’s been fun tasting the “seasonal” rotating wheats every week. We love the outdoor space allowing kiddos to have some parental supervised freedom, the staff is incredibly kind & helpful, and we can’t get enough of the Hellroaring sandwich. It’s definitely worth a stop!

A small hike from Billings and you're in Red Lodge. Stop by for a great menu of tasty brews and plenty of good food. Yes! They have growlers.

We stopped by on our way through town. They had a beer garden where they served food and beer, had games and music playing. The staff was so friendly, it was a fun laid back environment, and the beer was great. We got some awesome growlers to take home and the beer stayed cold for two days. Kid friendly too! I will definitely come back when I’m in town again.

I’ve bought Red Lodge Ales for years, but I was really impressed checking out their taproom for the first time! It’s conveniently right off the highway, has lots of outdoor seating, and lots of bar space too. Between this location and their cider mill in Billings, they have a wide variety on tap. This location also boasts a full kitchen. I recommend the Summer Daze beer while it’s still on, or the Jack’s 90 on nitro if you can get it.

They do not require masks. My husband and I were there two weeks ago.
It was not German themed when I was there but the owner is German and serves German style beer, which I thoroughly enjoyed...Red Lodge itself is super nice. The drive through the beartooth to Yellowstone is unreal...you climb, in your car of motorcycle to the summit....10,000+ feet.
