A nice park. If there are too many people at the main area, you can park across from the truck stop and walk under the interstate or go up deer creek from East Missoula to get to the part across the river. Sometimes it's busy but I can usually walk pups off leash.

Nice views up here. They are really putting work into this area after taking the damn out. It has a nice place to picnic with a view of the river. They put in historic signs giving you pictures and the history of the damn. There are bathrooms and a paved walkway at the top which makes it easy to access if you're in a wheelchair or find walking a bit hard. We joined in on a day the park service had a wildflower Walk. They new their stuff.👍😉 Told us all the flower names and even the weeds. 😁
