A while back I saw that they sold chrome spray paint. I didn’t know too much so I asked the store manager to let me see it. We talked about and and I asked him if it will be like the chrome already on my car, just blue. He said yes it will be. Turns out the spray paint was just glossy blue and I had already sanded down my chrome metal on my car to paint it the blue chrome. It completely infuriated me to have been taken advantage of and lied to just for $11 worth of useless spray paint. It is just crazy to me that my lack of knowledge was used against me to buy this spray paint and sand my car in confidence only to find out that the paint was just some blue gloss not blue shiny chrome. I didn’t know any better and all he had to say was “well you have to test the paint first.” All I wanted was some blue chrome on my car… I didn’t know how expensive it really was and the reality of chrome metals and that chrome paint is just a scam! How can a store manager tell me in confidence he knows a chrome spray can will be the exact shiny chrome - just blue- then blame the company for not holding up to their promise. Not only did I feel deceived and lied to, but now my car has permanent damage to it’s beautiful chrome metal all because I trusted some manager from Autozone! A $11 can turned into a potential damages that could cost hundreds of dollars to fix!
